I want to share this heartwarming story! The bride surprised her groom and played the drums during the reception. She was practicing with the band before to make it perfect. The groom had NO idea… It is not only a testament to love but also a great example of stepping out of one's comfort zone to create an unforgettable moment.

So, during the reception, the band made an announcement that the drummer had to leave unexpectedly, and they needed a drummer. To the surprise of the groom and the guests, the bride got up on the stage and started drumming. It made a spectacular, memorable moment for the couple and their guests.

The Jewish tradition of after the ceremony-YICHUD

After the ceremony, the bride and groom go to a private room for about 10 minutes, where they will have their first meal as a married couple. Then they return to complete their formal pictures as needed. It is in fact an ancient Jewish custom, and it is not just to eat or drink before the reception. When the bride and groom enter the room together, this symbolizes their newly married state.

This couple wanted something different for their ceremony, so we created a ceremony in the round. We worked with all the vendors to develop elevated elegance for this wedding at the Westin Hotel Dallas Downown.
Branching Out Floral and Event Design created an organic modern twist with the floral statements there was a definite WOW effect! The unique textures for a naturally inspired design included hydrangea, roses, spray roses, ranunculus, stock, thistle, veronica, tweedia, and air plants with mixed foliage including sage green, eucalyptus and dusty miller.

During the Ketubah signing, the groom approaches the bride for the Bedeken, or veiling. He looks at her and then veils her face. This signifies that his love for her is for her inner beauty, and that the two are distinct individuals even after marriage. It also is a tradition stemming from the Bible. Jacob was tricked into marrying the sister of the woman he loved because the sister was veiled. If the groom does the veiling himself, such trickery can never happen.
