Our Chief Success Officer, Hussain Manjee, recently visited Morehouse College, soaking in its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. He enjoyed connecting with some of the nation's brightest entrepreneurs, academic leaders, and supplier diversity professionals – including new friends Cynithea (Nit) Reeder, Stacie Harwood, Lorenzo Bell Jr., and meeting Jamal Lewis, the youngest NFL player to win a Super Bowl.

Shezad Manjee, our Creative Director, recently participated in the Dallas Regional Chamber fireside chat with Joe DePinto, President and CEO of 7-Eleven. He was excited to learn about the brand’s origin story and learned that the very first 7-Eleven was founded almost 100 years ago (1927), less than 10 minutes from the DHD Films studio!

Meet our Director, Michael "Boogie" Pinckney! 🎥
Boogie's career in the film industry began as an Assistant Director on acclaimed films such as Inside Man and Precious, as well as popular TV shows like Broad City and Law & Order CI. He later transitioned to writing and directing and has since become a prominent figure in the industry. Michael has written features, television pilots, and a variety of digital series that have gained widespread recognition. His feature film debut was distributed by Lionsgate, and he has directed a number of digital series, including Sole Kings for BRIC TV and Black Actress for Issa Rae Productions.
Boogie wrote and produced an award-winning film about s*x trafficking, The Trade. He also directed the pilot for Blue Flame, a new series about an all-female undercover police unit. Another of his films, God Bless You, has amassed over 3.5 million views on YouTube. Michael's impressive body of work has earned him a reputation as a skilled filmmaker and storyteller in the industry.

Meet our Director, Vincent Powell! 🎥
Vincent is a highly respected film and TV Director and Producer based in Houston, Texas. With over 15 years of experience, Vincent has established a strong reputation for creating powerful and moving content that connects with audiences through the compelling power of story. He has worked with major brands such as Disney, Gillette, and the NFL, and has directed and produced numerous music videos, TV ads, and web campaigns. Vincent is also passionate about creating narrative features, shorts, and episodic projects, including the anthology performance series Black Is Eternal, which he produces every February and June.
He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film & Television Production from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film from Texas Southern University’s School of Communication. Vincent is committed to empowering the next generation of storytellers and serves as an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University.
