Meet Michelle

I’m the founder and lead creative behind Michelle Phu Events, a Dallas-based wedding planning and design firm dedicated to creating celebrations that feel effortless, intentional, and full of heart.

I found my purpose in this work after losing my little sister. Planning her funeral was the first event I ever organized, and though it came from a place of heartbreak, it opened my eyes to how meaningful it is to create moments that bring people together. Not long after, I coordinated a large awareness event with the Philadelphia Phillies, and I remember thinking, if I can do this while grieving, what can I do when I’m not? That question led me to build something rooted in love, hospitality, and service.

Today, I pour that same heart into every wedding I plan. I believe weddings should feel as good as they look. Every detail is guided by emotion and intention, from how guests are welcomed to how each space tells a story. My design inspiration often comes from travel, culture, and connection, blending global influences with personal meaning to create celebrations that feel timeless and deeply personal.

To all of the couples who have trusted me and my team with their wedding day, thank you for allowing us to play a small part in such a meaningful chapter of your lives. And to those just finding us, welcome. We can’t wait to create something beautiful together! 🤍

Meet Hannah!

On wedding days, the first thing I do is check in with all the vendors, walk through the space, and make sure everything is running according to the timeline and floor plan. It’s all about setting the tone for a smooth and stress-free day.

My favorite moment is seeing the couple’s reaction when they walk into their fully set reception space for the first time. It’s pure magic and makes all the planning worthwhile.

Fun facts:
~ I love all things food, whether that’s cooking at home or finding new restaurants to try
~ I have a degree in Travel and Event Activity Management
~ I make hand-crafted candles with my fiancé

When I’m not planning, you’ll usually find me hanging out at local coffee shops, walking my dog, exploring new places, or getting competitive over a board game night with friends.

I love planning elegant, timeless garden-style weddings that feel romantic and naturally beautiful. While that’s my favorite aesthetic, my true passion is bringing each couple’s unique vision to life in a way that feels personal and unforgettable.

Meet Megan!

On wedding days, the first thing I do is check in on the bride and groom! No matter the chaos behind the scenes, my top priority is making sure they feel calm, cared for, and like the day is truly theirs.

My favorite part of the wedding day? The dances! From the first dance, to parent dances, to that very last dance of the night. Each one is packed with meaning, emotion, and memories that last a lifetime. (I have cried multiple times, lol)

Fun fact about me:
~ I’m bilingual in Vietnamese
~ I love collecting matchboxes, whether they’re from weddings I’ve worked, ones I’ve attended, or even restaurants I’ve been to!
~I have a soft spot for splurging on candles and perfumes. A girl can never have too many scents!

When I’m not planning or coordinating, you’ll find me spending time with my family and friends, going to the gym or in a pilates class, walking the trails or playing at the park with my dog, exploring new corners of the world, and enjoying new dining experiences. Oh and I’m guilty of hunting down the best matcha in town!

Meet Tehani!

On wedding days, the first thing she does is unpack her snackies and alkaline water because keeping the energy up is key to a joy-filled day. Once she’s fueled and ready, she’s all about staying calm, organized, and creating space for those meaningful in-between moments that couples will remember forever.

Her favorite part of the day? That sweet shift right after the ceremony, when the nerves fade, the couple finally breathes, and the real party begins!

~ She’s always down for an adventure and will always say yes to something bold
~ She loves being outdoors, whether it’s by the water or on a hike
~ She’s a total foodie who loves cooking with her husband
~ She’s the best “auntie” when it comes to playing dinos with her niece and nephews

Couples love her for her humor, reliability, and ability to keep the vibe light while making sure everything goes exactly as planned.

Meet Jazmin!

On wedding days, the first thing I do is take a moment to ground myself and soak in the atmosphere before reviewing the checklist for the 100th time. :)

My favorite part of a wedding day is hearing the “I Do’s” and watching them sealed with a kiss, when the room shifts from heartfelt emotion to pure celebration. ✨

~ I am a full-time mama of 3
~ I love curating playlists for every season, mood, or moment
~ I work best when The Office is playing in the background
~ I am bilingual in Spanish
