Meet Michelle

I’m the founder and lead creative behind Michelle Phu Events, a Dallas-based wedding planning and design firm dedicated to creating celebrations that feel effortless, intentional, and full of heart.

I found my purpose in this work after losing my little sister. Planning her funeral was the first event I ever organized, and though it came from a place of heartbreak, it opened my eyes to how meaningful it is to create moments that bring people together. Not long after, I coordinated a large awareness event with the Philadelphia Phillies, and I remember thinking, if I can do this while grieving, what can I do when I’m not? That question led me to build something rooted in love, hospitality, and service.

Today, I pour that same heart into every wedding I plan. I believe weddings should feel as good as they look. Every detail is guided by emotion and intention, from how guests are welcomed to how each space tells a story. My design inspiration often comes from travel, culture, and connection, blending global influences with personal meaning to create celebrations that feel timeless and deeply personal.

To all of the couples who have trusted me and my team with their wedding day, thank you for allowing us to play a small part in such a meaningful chapter of your lives. And to those just finding us, welcome. We can’t wait to create something beautiful together! 🤍

Meet Hannah!

On wedding days, the first thing I do is check in with all the vendors, walk through the space, and make sure everything is running according to the timeline and floor plan. It’s all about setting the tone for a smooth and stress-free day.

My favorite moment is seeing the couple’s reaction when they walk into their fully set reception space for the first time. It’s pure magic and makes all the planning worthwhile.

Fun facts:
~ I love all things food, whether that’s cooking at home or finding new restaurants to try
~ I have a degree in Travel and Event Activity Management
~ I make hand-crafted candles with my fiancé

When I’m not planning, you’ll usually find me hanging out at local coffee shops, walking my dog, exploring new places, or getting competitive over a board game night with friends.

I love planning elegant, timeless garden-style weddings that feel romantic and naturally beautiful. While that’s my favorite aesthetic, my true passion is bringing each couple’s unique vision to life in a way that feels personal and unforgettable.

Because even a late-night snack deserves intention. Our couple wanted something fun and interactive for their guests, so we created a custom pizzeria complete with fresh pies, personal touches, and a dash of nostalgia. 🍕
