My Daddy was such a DAPPER MAN ... He was an OG !!!!! And he was a SMART Business Man.
Alot of people in the Music 🎶 Industry knew my Dad. His name was Chuck Morrison and he helped alot of black businesses and alot of music artist, groups, comedians, sports figures, and black companies to propell their CAREERS to another level. He was a VERY SUCESSFUL MARKETING MAN for companies like Coca-Cola, and Uniworld, and a few others in his early career. I learned alot about MARKETING & PROMOTION from just watching him and talking to him. My Daddy was my HERO and he BLESSED alot of people in many ways. If you watched the documentary on Michael Bivins from New Edition last year, you will hear them talk about my daddy and show pictures of him. One day I'm going to do a real indebt DOCUMENTARY on my Daddy and hid GOOD DEEDS.

Soooo just happened to me an hour ago. Got a call from a person that said they was from a MAJOR RECORD LABEL ( one we've all heard of ). He even was using ( Sylvia Rhone's name ) if you know anything about the Music Industry you know who she is ...And he was talking to me real fast, saying that they were offering to fly me out to Los Angeles toThe B.E.T. Experience to perform. So, I said what's the details and the date, he tells me go Google it you'll see the flyer with Cardi B & GloRilla and others on it, I'm thinking to myself, ( now why do I need to google this and I'm on the phone with you 🤔 ) 1st ( red flag) Then he sends me this flyer while we're on, and then he says do you want to stay independent or do you want a million dollar record deal. I said we'll it depends on the details. I said so why exactly are you calling me and how did you hear of me ? He says aren't you out there on all the platforms? I said I AM, I'm still trying to get some real details from him, but everytime I ask him a question he got a smart flippet answer and it's quick ( remind me of one them street sellers on the streets of NY ) So, I said Sir I'm just trying to get the details. Finally he breaks it down and says something about all I have to do is pay BET $675.00 to come out and perform and they will fly me and three of my people out there and then I will be up for a record deal with them and they're going to change my life. It didn't take me long to respond ( while he still speaking quickly to me and asking so what you wanna do, take this offer or lose your spot )
I politely said...Nah, I'm good 👍🏾 He said excuse me what did you say ? I said nah I'm good but thanks for the call tho. I DON'T DO FAST TALKERS I LEARNED THAT LESSON WHEN I WAS 12. I JUST DON'T DO IT !!!!! So, Artist beware out there you got people out here trying to PREY on your eagerness to become famous and they will come at you and getcha caught up and take your money 💰 before you know what happened to you 🙄

Sooo this show was my 1st Southern Soul Show I was hired to do in 2024, but definitely not the last. The fact is I have been helping Promoters and Venue Owners put together shows for about 2 years or more. Some Artist will never know that I have put your name in the pot when they call me and ask. Some Artist do very well know. Aside from being an ARTIST myself, I also am an EVENT COORDINATOR. I actually deal with Promoters and help choose their Artist for their show according to their budget. Whatever budget they have I make it work. There is no budget I can't make work. I handle the TALENT, the PROMOTIONAL material, I deal with the CUSTOMERS, the Djs, the soundman, and the VENUE owners to make sure everyone is on point. This Show lastnight was an Awesome turnout in every way. The Artist were on their A GAME, we showcased 5 New Up and Coming Artist and they were GREAT and I love helping the NEW ONES by trying to get them out there. The OWNER was HAPPY, he made his money 💰. We had some press there,( Southern Soul Magazine) Djs came to support, we had surprise guest to come show up and BLESS the stage like Nellie Travis , and Sham Redmond & Jesse Redmond come through. And the people DANCED ALL NIGHT AND HAD A GOOD GOOD TIME. When I sit back and see that IT GIVES ME JOY 😊 💜☺️ Stay tuned for all the Pics & Videos because if you know me you KNOW I loving taking them and sharing. I want to THANK EVERYONE who showed up and came out WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOU !!!! Until the NEXT MZ CONNIE PRODUCTION ☆

Soooo in 2023 I had an opportunity to be casted in two different movies 🎬 I am excited for these opportunities because who knows where these cameos could lead me. I have been on this journey of singing so long, I never even considered embracing a different form of art. WHO KNOWS IF I PUT MY MIND TO THIS WHERE IT COULD LEAD ME. The 1st movie is called "The Decision " created and directed by Sister Sham Redmond premiering very soon, and the second movie 🎬 I'm starring in as myself is called "Southern Soul Sunday " created and directed by Phillip Martin premiering in February. I APPRECIATE BOTH OF THEM GIVING ME THE CALL TO COME BE APART OF THEIR FILMS. I can only hope this can help create me a NEW RESUME that could take me somewhere I had not yet even IMAGINED💜

Have you ever thought: “I’m fat.” “I’m old.” “I’m not enough.” “I was young once.” To all my female friends from 40 years and up, most of us are going through the next phase of our lives. We’re at that age where we see wrinkles, gray hair, and extra pounds. We see the cute 25-year-olds and reminisce. But we were also 25, just as they will one day be our age. We aren’t the “girls in their summer clothes” anymore. What they bring to the table with their youth and zest, we bring our wisdom and experience. We have raised families, run households, paid the bills, dealt with disease, sadness, and everything else life has assigned us. Some of us have lost those who were nearest and dearest to us. We are survivors. We are warriors in the quiet. We are women, like a classic car or a fine wine. Even if our bodies aren’t what they once were, they carry our souls, our courage, and our strength. We shall all enter this chapter of our lives with humility, grace, and pride over everything we have been through, and we should never feel bad about getting older. It’s a privilege that is denied to so many.
