Did you know that your tax dollars make it possible for you to enjoy local art? The City of Dallas Community Artist Program funds artists to offer free workshops to the public. In fact, Apprentice is hosting two art workshops led by local artists and supported by the Community Artist Program next week!
On July 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., join us for the first session of the Papel Picado visual arts workshop. Participants will use paper to produce Ojos de Dios. Salโs workshops involve using paper to create traditional Mexican folk art. Participants will learn how to produce various designs that include abstract pieces, pop-up cards, banners, and so on.
On July 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., join us for our first dance workshop with Infinite Arts Movement. Infinite Arts Movement teaches African dance movement, history, and rhythm by providing a brief history of dance, breaking down the steps, and providing basic techniques and movement across the floor.
Space is limited for both workshops. Please RSVP at the link in our bio to secure your spot.
Both workshops are recommended for ages 6 and up.
Both events are supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
