The cookies were made by two chefs with great care,

in hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

With Gizmo in his chef shirt, JD in his cap,

they put the cookies in the oven and then took a nap.

The smoke alarm rang with such a loud clatter,

they sprang to their paws To see what was the matter.

Away to the window, Gizmo flew like a flash,

JD opened the oven to twelve piles of ash.

Soon from the Chimney Santa came down with a bound.

He giggled inspite of himself, at the scene that he found.

Twelve tarnished cookies all covered in soot,

placed by the fireplace in front of his foot.

Two proud Chefs tucked snug in their beds,

dreaming of sugar plumbs and pats on the head.

Santa tasted a cookie, then made a face…

This is no cookie, it tastes like burnt paste.

Santa checked his list, then he checked it twice.

They weren’t on the naughty side; they were trying to be nice.

Please never again make cookies, Santa whispered them awake.

You may look may like chefs, but you clearly cannot bake.

You should try dipping pretzels, they’re fun and delicious too.

Just decorate with love, all the great chocolatiers do…

Then, giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

To twelve waiting reindeer, and one shiny red nose.

He sprang to his sleigh and grabbed onto the rein.

And away they all flew, as fast as they came.

But they heard Santa exclaim, as he drove out of sight

Happy sprinkles to all to all, and to all a good bite.

I take pictures for Women Leading in Technology. They teach young girls to get interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture and Math.
These young ladies were helping to design and build tiny houses that went to auction.
I call it the first drip 😂 Are they not the cutest?!

Gizmo grabbed the reins,
JD help on tight.
They sled past the reindeer,
out playing games that night.
