Hi Yamily! I hate having to cancel a class but Christy’s little one is sick and I am also just on the tail end of a horrid flu. Our top priority is the healthy and safety of our teachers, students and community, so sadly we will have to go a week without our beloved Katonah hour. Stay warm and safe out there. ~Jade

We love this! Think of how fun it is to practice yoga next to your neighbor’s work?!??

I just read an article about a boutique hotel that experimented with adding local art in it's rooms. The results were pretty amazing.

🏨 Hotel XYZ may sound fictional—but it’s real! This hotel hosted a study by adding the artwork of local artists throughout its rooms and even holding exhibitions of what they curated.

The result? Customer satisfaction soared, leading to more business for the hotel. Travelers loved how the art made them feel more connected, not just to the hotel, but to the local area. 🌍

It’s a perfect example of how celebrating independent artists can elevate a space and make it truly special. Art has the power to transform, and this study proves it!

2025 feels big...let’s set the stage and manifest our biggest and boldest dreams and goals. 🎯 Our two hour ⏰ journey to help shape the vision of the upcoming year, will be led by Sarah Cotton Nelson of Flying High Strategy and Jade Johnson, Co-Owner of YAM. The first hour will combine gentle movement and breath with writing prompts to reflect on 2024 and open ourselves to our desires for 2025. The second hour will be spent crafting a visual reminder of what you want to attract into your life in 2025. We will provide board, glue, magazines, markers, misc crafting items. Please bring: - an open mind/heart 🫀 - an adventurous spirit 🌟 - a journal or notebook & pen (optional) 🖊️ * You can also bring whatever you may have on hand to use yourself or share - including a pair of scissors! ✂️ We have mats, blocks, bolsters and blankets. Come dressed prepared for movement and lounging on yoga mats. Don’t worry if you don’t have some BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) in mind yet, we can use movement, music, mediation, community - we’ve got it all at YAM - to help get those creative juices flowing. Trey & Jen Johnson started YAM to create a community-based vibe around their mutual love for yoga, art & music.

Jen opened one of the first yoga studios in Dallas in 2001, American Power Yoga (formerly called Whole Life), and has been a local business person ever since. Trey has performed in and around Dallas from the age of 15 years old, most notably fronting the band Sorta. He currently operates State Fair Records.
