Who else is loving the fall leaves?! 🍁

Not only are they beautiful to see and fun to crunch underfoot, they also serve as valuable mulch that protects and builds healthy soil for our flowers!

It will soon be time to rake them into piles, jump in the piles, rake again, and add to the garden as we tuck it in for a long winter’s nap.

Our children are a big “why” behind our flower patch. We love planting a classroom each year for them to observe the slow transformation from seed to flower, to learn about colors and textures, and the behavior of insects. To experience the God-given dignity of work and joy of nurturing His creation through simple tasks they can increasingly take on with age, knowledge, and practice. To run up and down rows and play in sprinklers as the sun sets. We deeply enjoy growing flowers, but we’re most grateful to grow children in this garden.

The Purpose Behind the Petals

Every beautiful bloom begins with strong roots; the business name nods to the caring community where my roots of inspiration began to grow. The farm was certainly the soil in which a passion for agriculture took root, but a blossoming love for flowers served as proof that God truly gives the growth.

When I first accepted a dream job to teach agriculture with an incredible team in a wonderful community, I feared teaching a subject for which I had little intrinsic affection: horticulture. I asked the Lord to help me appreciate this part of His creation. He has helped me not only enjoy His creation, but enjoy Him more as I see how He designs, provides, and sustains even the most delicate of His works.

It is my prayer to enjoy Him as I image His creativity in my designs and that customers will enjoy Him in beholding the beauty of His creation. A portion of proceeds from select designs will be used to support those who are working to equip young people to care for His creation and to invite people from all over the world enjoy Him forever.
