Dansville ArtWorks will host Chalk Walk activities during First Friday Dansville on Friday, August 6, 5-7pm. Stop at our booth at 153 Main Street for FREE sidewalk chalk (thanks to sponsor Whitetails Unlimited https://www.facebook.com/Whitetails-Unlimited-Stony-Brook-1217537565015616).
We'll even have a list of businesses who would love your artwork to grace their sidewalks!
Watch visual artist Melissa Gartz create a signature chalk artwork.
Stop into ArtWorks' gallery at 153 Main for the opening reception of Bettina Frost's nature exhibit titled A LIttle Bit of Everything (5-6:30pm).
It's all free and open to the public.

Our Story

Sponsored by Dansville ArtWorks Inc., Chalk Walk & ArtsFest is a community arts program featuring sidewalk chalk art, live music, and opportunities to learn about art in a single day event, always the first Saturday in August. Juried chalk artists and community chalk artists create a wide variety of chalk art, always with an open theme and in a non-competitive environment. The event is free and open to the public. Community chalk artists should register at least one week prior to the event to ensure an adequate supply of chalk is available (free to register/chalks are free).
