I would spend hours manually building hotel availability reports for clients. For every hotel response, I’m pulling the same 10 or so things.
Date availability, room rate, taxes, meeting space details, F&B minimums, rental fees, you name it.
One hotel would take 15 minutes minimum, and that was with no questions. Multiply that by 5 or 10 responses on a single RFP, and that’s hours before I’m even started comparing them.
I got tired of losing entire days to data entry. So I built a skill in Claude that reads the RFP’s for me.
It pulls everything into the sheet, flags the discrepancies in the hotels own response and tells me what questions I still need to ask. I only go back to the hotel once with everything instead of 5 separate emails.
I didn’t get faster at reading RFP’s. I built something that reads them for me and it knows what’s important to me. My time is valuable and it’s now freed up for strategy thinking, not data entry.
It’s called Venue Sourcing Insights and the availability report is just the tip of the iceberg.
