Roman went 16-1 this weekend at Sparty Christmas nationals in Michigan! Took home two individual champ titles and duals MVP. We also had several go win first place in Texas this weekend. No matter where Gulf Coast goes, they always represent!

This weekends venue is a CLEAR BAG ONLY Facility….
That being said the children’s wrestling bags and rehydration drinks and containers will be permitted.
All others will need a clear bag to retain your items . Also no outside food or drink are allowed.
This is Alabama’s only event and Biggest Tournament this weekend so we hope to see everyone from North to South and everywhere inbetween. Multiple States are already entered as well!! Let’s pack out Montgomery with the South’s BEST Wrestlers!!

6 Gulf Coast wrestlers compete for Bayside and they just went 5-0 at the Gator Duals taking first place! Our high school program has paid dividends for these guys this year as they attain a 13-1 record while giving up multiple lineup forfeits in every dual!

This past weekend we attended Cosmic Clash in Denver, CO with 8 of our wrestlers. We wrestled in the dark under black lights and got a taste of some new wrestlers we’ve never seen before. It was an awesome experience and we hope to do it again. We are hungry to wrestle the best out there!!! Out of 203 teams we placed 6 with only 8 wrestlers on our roster. Individually we brought home many new national placements as well:

Thank you to one of our Coaches, Caleb Hall, for his dedication to not only our community but our country as a whole, and for raising awareness on such an important day in history.

We are grateful and lucky to have such great role models like Coach Caleb involved in our program.

United States Marine Corps Sergeant Caleb Hall spoke to Upper School about patriotism and about his call to serve our country. He reminded our students that every time they hear the national anthem, or each morning when we say the Pledge of Allegiance, to think about the freedoms we experience everyday and the people that fight for those freedoms.
We are grateful for Calebs service and we remember those who were impacted by the events of September 11th.
Caleb was a geospatial intelligence supervisor with the United States Marine Corps for nearly nine years. He served on a combat tour in Iraq and is proud of his country and his team for their sacrifice. Caleb is our Facilities Director, the varsity wrestling head coach, football assistant coach, and father to Jonathan Benavides ’30.
