Thank you to everyone that came out for all of the Canoe Festival events held on Sunday. The weather was good. We hope all events held yesterday did well.
Yesterday was also the return of the canoe races. Thank you to Jay and Peggy Lancaster and the entire Lancaster family for all their help in bringing this event back. It was fun watching the canoes come down the river. The canoer that lives the furthest away (Hawaii) that took time to participate: AJ Howery. I enjoyed watching my classmate come to the finish line.
Thank you to everyone for your support of the 58th Darlington Canoe Festival

A rainy start to today for the festival but once the rain stopped it turned out amazing. Thank you to the Darlington Police Department for the touch a truck event, Nicks Kids Show, Abby McKillip and the Wellness Center Dance group, Nancy Winslow and Tina Reichers for a great Home Talent Show-such a great group of contestants and judges Tammy Kilby, Marjean Sutherland and Nancy McCarten. It was a great turnout for Beowulf M.C for their annual summer party and great music by Mile 134 and 3 on Tree. The fireworks show was spectacular and it was nice to see lots ofpeople sitting in the ball park area and Napa . Thanks to our food trucks and looks like the kiddos were having a great time at Y'Allbee Inflatables.
