Two big events this Valentine weekend. Although these aren’t MVBS events they are still very big. Central Iowa Blues Society WinterBlues Fest. February 14 and 15. Big blues party at the Marriott Hotel in Des Moines.
GypsyHighway will be hosting The Jeni Grouws Band Jeni Grouws Music. What a way to celebrate your sweetheart this weekend. ❤️❤️❤️

MVBS has two, great big blues parties in March. Mark those calendars. Pour Bros. Craft Taproom Moline and The Mississippi Valley Blues Society will be hosting a blues trivia, chili and live blues by John Resch & Do**in' Out on March 2nd. Get your teams of four for 2 rounds of trivia from 3-4. (sign up at 2:30). Don’t worry about being good at it as it is not going to be hard. Prizes awarded. Dogs play from 4-7. Chili served while it lasts. Open to everyone and donations accepted as this is a fundraiser for the 40th anniversary festival.
Then we have this big event on March 16th at GypsyHighway. Massive Texas blues band Mike Morgan and the Crawl from 4-7.
Tickets at the door are $12.00. $10.00 for MVBS members. Please spread the word that the blues are alive and well.

Coming up in a month at Pour Bros. Craft Taproom Moline is the MVBS festival fundraiser BIG BLUES PARTY!! March 2nd we start with trivia. 2 matches with 4 to a team. Show up at 2:30 to get set up to play. Games start at 3:00 to 4:00. John Resch & Do**in' Out will bring in the heat from 4:00-7:00. Come hungry as we will be serving up chili. Please mark your calendar’s and tell all your friends to come and help us out at a fun winter blues party.

Cheer up blues lovers. Got to be happy with this weekends choices for live blues.
Tonight Matt Fuller Band will be at Parkside in Moline at 8:00 and Chris Avey Band will start at 7:00 at the Raccoon Hotel.
Tomorrow night shake it up with John Resch and Do**in Out at The Whiskey Stop. Start time 7:00. Get out of those winter blues and take in some live blues.

The Mississippi Valley Blues Society will be serving up chili and blues trivia (teams of 4) from 3:00-4:00. Then from 4:00-7:00 will be the swingin and jumpin blues music by John Resch & Do**in' Out. This is a fundraiser for the Mississippi Valley Blues Society with all proceeds directed towards MVBS festival 2025 to be held in September. Sign your team up for trivia at 2:30 the day of event.

John Resch & Do**in' Out unfortunately didn’t make the final five but sure did make Iowa proud. They brought down the house last night in the semifinals and made a lot of new fans. Thanks to the Central Iowa Blues Society for putting on the Iowa Blues Challenge and allowing the Dogs to experience an incredible blues journey.

John Resch & Do**in' Out made it to the semi finals. They are set to perform again tonight at 8:40 at Wet Willie’s. Quad Cities are showing a lot of love to the Dogs. Estimate 50 plus fans made the trip to Memphis. Half foot of snow out there now and still coming down. Not slowing down the Dogs. They killed it last night. Central Iowa Blues Society
