We are currently seeking individuals interested in becoming a member of our Board of Directors. The primary focus of the Board is to execute the Mission of the Society and its fiduciary responsibilities. The Directors are responsible for attending monthly Board Meetings, and participating in email communication.
Directors are also encouraged to become a member of one or more of the Society’s committees.
Interested individuals should submit a short biography describing their background and interest in the organization to Steve Hueser at [email protected].

Our mission is to ensure the future of a uniquely American art form by fostering greater public appreciation through performance, education, and preservation of the Blues Heritage.

Check out John Resch and Do**in’ Out on Sunday, Nov 10, from 3pm-6pm, at the Gypsy Highway. The band recently won the Iowa Blues Challenge in Des Moines and are heading to Memphis, Tennessee for the Blues Foundation’s 2025 International Blues Challenge. A 50/50 raffle will be held and additionally, another ticket will be drawn for a very nice gift basket, which includes a 2-hour Do**in’ Out concert at the place of your choice.

Join us on the Mississippi Riverfront in downtown Rock Island for an unforgettable evening of live music, great food, and refreshing drinks! After the high-octane action of the world’s largest karting street race, stick around for the Rock The Blues party at Schwiebert Riverfront Park on Saturday, August 31st.

🎸 4-6:30 PM: Kick things off with the high-energy Sean McKee Band from Chicago, blending blues, rock, jazz, and funk for a dynamic sound that will get you moving!

🎸 7-10 PM: Headline act Kilborn Alley Blues Band will take the stage, delivering an authentic and soulful blues experience that you won’t want to miss!

🍔 Rock Island Parks & Recreation will be grilling up burgers, brats, pork tenderloins, and hot dogs.
