When our clients fully trust us and let us create a custom design just for them, that’s when the magic happens. After going through our extensive design consultation process, I spend weeks putting together a beautiful design proposal that outlines every piece of the couple’s day (check out our story to see sample forms this wedding’s design deck). But the real highlight is when I present it to the client and they don’t want to change A THING! That’s when my heart flutters.

For H+J, after getting to know more about them and their relationship they gave me free rein to create a stunning design and I’m thrilled with how it all came together!

Headed to NYC today for an awesome event but while sitting on the train I was reminiscing with a friend about H + R’s gorgeous tented affair. We created an amazing space for the couple in the middle of a public city park and it could not have been a more beautiful event.

YES to all of the above! Don’t forget that those by your side on wedding day are your people. You don’t have to try and fit any mold or tradition. Pick the people you love the most and who will support you whole heartedly that day. Gender, social norms and preconceived notions can be thrown out the window!!

One of my all time favorite table designs. We had half the tables in a grey/blue floral linen. The other half were linen-less wood tables. Each place setting was the same across all tables for consistency. From the colors to the textures to the smallest details…this one has a special place in my heart!

*Leather Details* - For this event I really wanted to lean into textures and patterns that were meaningful to the couple and their tribe. One textile we used was leather. From the invite enclosure to the seating chart to the bar menu and {my personal fav} the personalized guest menus which became leather keychain favors!

Each guest’s place setting had a menu with a little leather tag with their name engraved. After dinner, our team gathered the menus, removed the leather tags, added a keychain and then placed them on a table for the guests to take home as favor. Such a fun detail!

I absolutely loved collaborating with to come up with all of these amazing leather details!
