Nothing says Happy Holidays more than making desserts and meals you grew up with. Here are two of my favorites by my grandmothers.

What do you think of when you hear Fruit Cake? Oh, you wait for that recipe. It's better than any other one you've tasted. My father-in-law said so : )!

Both of my grandmothers were very good cooks. Grandmother Giddens (Chocolate Whirl Cookies) was from South Georgia. Grandmother Stowers was from North Georgia. They grew almost everything and canned, froze or made meals immediately. These two recipes are my very favorites!

If you haven't been to Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, it's worth the trip. The home belonged to Howard Candler, the oldest son of Asa Candler, the pharmacist who purchased the rights to the formula for Coca-Cola in 1891.

We had the honor of decorating a magnificent tree on the landing of its elegant staircase. Together with The Anik Collective and Southern Vintage , we chose ornaments to complement the historic home.
