Wedding photos 98 years in the making.
Who would have thought at the 1925 ground breaking, that this slice of Dayton history would also be part of some many couples’ personal history too? That’s pretty amazing. 💕

The ballroom always looks so beautiful with event lighting and pretty tablescapes.
Our neutral decor means that you can easily incorporate any event color, pattern or theme!
Our Grecian architecture certainly adds some pizzazz to the Dayton skyline that could never be replicated again due to the scarcity of many of the building materials that would not be available today.
But just in case you were curious, here are some of the components that went into building the Dayton Masonic Center.
Steel: 1,700 tons Cement: 85,000 bags
Sand: 6,540 tons Gravel: 13,500 tons
Stone: 55,000 cubic feet Bedford stone and 15,000 cubic feet hard limestone
Marble: 20 train carloads of Vermont, Alabama and Tennessee marble used for interior floors, wainscotings, partitions and stairways
Lime: 350 tons
Plaster: 1,200 tons
Wire: 500,000 feet
Brick: 2 million bricks
Carpet: 5,000 yards
Talk about some impressive numbers!

Happy Flag Day from your friends at the Dayton Masonic Center.🇺🇸
Flag Day is a holiday celebrated on June 14 in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The Flag Resolution stated “That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.”

A downtown venue with plenty of green space and photo ops to enjoy!
Many people forget that we are surrounded by rolling hills, mature trees, and views of the Miami River. Not only do you get the classic architecture of the building for a photo backdrop, but also the beautiful green spaces as well.

💜🤩💜A favorite venue feature is our balcony!
It’s a great spot for cocktail hour, and many of our couples do their first dance with the ballroom all to themselves while guests watch from above.
If you’re looking for a gorgeous budget friendly venue, we’re here for you! We still have some great 2024 and 2025 dates still available.

We have sooooooo many locations that work wonderfully for wedding ceremonies, including our balcony!
The best part is that when the ceremony is over, your guests can easy walk to cocktail hour on the balcony as well. This works best for smaller guest counts, but it’s a great option.

It’s officially patio weather season and the front patio at Dayton Masonic Center is the place to be!
Not only is it perfect for wedding ceremonies or cocktail hour, but it also has the BEST views of the Dayton cityscape and skyline!
Many people forget that DMC has outdoor and indoor spaces, and they’re great ones too!

Summer wedding season is officially here!
We love all the subtle touches from the bright blooms, seed packets, rattan vessels and chargers to the ‘Please be Seeded’ seating chart.
Perhaps one of the best (and most romantic) views of Dayton. 💕

Meet The Templar Room...
With its vaulted ceilings, ornate woodwork, and hand-painted ceilings, The Templar Room makes for a beautiful spot for wedding photographs and wedding ceremonies.
The stage features several different curtains and backdrops to choose from. Guests can also seat in a traditional aisle conjuration as well as in the balcony and side benches.
Many people have never been in this room in Dayton Masonic Center and it always delights and surprises guests to be able to see another unique space within the building.

Let’s talk event spaces!
When you’re looking to book a venue, you have to weigh many factors like the {{entire}} overall experience of your event. Not just the reception or just the ceremony. Your event day is the sum total of all these choices!
For instance:
🔸We have dressing suites for getting ready
🔸We have several indoor AND outdoor spaces for your ceremony...this gives you a built-in rain plan!
🔸Photos! Photo ops galore! Indoor, outdoor, balconies, libraries, you name it...we have it!
🔸Cocktail hour - you can host it inside overlooking the ballroom(shown here) or on the patio overlooking the Great Miami River
🔸Room to grow! With our spacious open floor plan you can easily add guests. Many venues are too small for a typical event, especially when you already booked that space near their max. We can easily host events up to 400 without thinking twice. We can even host events larger than that, but with some consideration.
Basically, we can do it all!
You can still host your event with us too! Head over to DaytonMasonicCenter.org or email [email protected] to learn more.
When it comes to downtown venues, it’s easy to forget that several have great green spaces in an urban setting.
Whether it’s cocktail hour on the front patio overlooking the Great Miami River and Dayton skyline or wedding photos on the lawn, Dayton Masonic Center has many great outdoor spaces too!

We always enjoy seeing pretty design details in the ballroom!
Did you know that you can upgrade the ballroom chairs to White Chiavari Chairs for just $2 each? Cheaper than a rental company and they look so beautiful in the space.
(Definitely is a job perk! 😉)

An iconic Dayton landmark, The Dayton Masonic Center offers elegance and grandeur from a bygone era, but with all the modern conveniences of today. Recently remodeled in 2018, The Masonic has added more elevators, updated ladies lounge, new bars, and more.
Around every corner, The Masonic surprises guests with unique rooms filled with hidden treasures like the Billiards Room, Library, or 1930’s Lounge. However, the two story tall Ballroom is what steals the show. Guests can enjoy cocktail hour on the Balcony overlooking the Ballroom, which is the perfect view for an impressive grande entrance or first dance.
The Masonic can accommodate seated dinners for up to 500 guests and cocktail receptions up to 1,000 guests. The Masonic also includes tables, chairs, some AV equipment, and ample free parking with all rentals.
A BIG change for 2019 events after June 1, 2019 is that clients may bring in their own alcohol to be served by Elite Catering. This is an estimated savings of $4000 - $6000 for events over 200 guests.
For an additional fee there are multiple areas within the venue for wedding ceremonies and even an outdoor space for a cocktail hour overlooking the Dayton skyline and the Great Miami River.
Call 937.559.4590 or email [email protected] to check availability, book a tour, or learn more about event rentals.
