We’re proud of being a part of Dayton History as well as being a small part of our national history. In 1982 we earned our place on the National Register of Historic Places, and now we’re looking forward to being part of your history!

Yeah, good times!

We jest, but the filming of the Golden Globe nominated film, "The Old Man and The Gun," is what sparked enough interest in our space to turn it into a venue!

Happy Flag Day! 💙🇺🇸❤️

Did you know that The Grande Hall at Liberty Tower has had a long history of flying the American Flag on our rooftop as numerous skyscrapers stopped flying theirs?

Our buildings historians believe it's been continuously flown since the grand opening in 1931. Our beautiful flag measures in at 10ft x 15ft and keeps watch over our Peregrine Falcons that nest each spring.

Liberty Tower has had a long history with supporting our great country. During World War II, Liberty Tower was home to the Army Signal Corps with offices in the lobby and as well as an observation deck on the roof. With Liberty Tower being the tallest building in Dayton at the time, the roof provided an ideal location to keep watch for air raids. ⁠
⁠
They always had 2 watchmen on the roof 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The building’s code name was ‘Dog Easy 77,’ which is now the namesake of the The Grande Hall's signature cocktail.⁠

So many lovely couples have their photos taken right outside our doors and we love to see them in wedding galleries. The black marble Art Deco facade was brought here via steamship from Italy in the mid 1920's just for us.

The Grande Hall at Liberty Tower

The Grande Hall at Liberty Tower is a remarkable hidden gem that will soon become one of Dayton’s favorite wedding and special event venues. While renovations are to be completed by March 2019, we are not booking events until late April 2019 to ensure there is plenty of time to perfect the space.

From the 30 foot plaster ceilings to the Italian marble walls, The Grande Hall at Liberty Tower is a shining example of classic Art Deco architecture that has been painstakingly preserved.

The Grande Hall at Liberty Tower can accommodate seated events for up to 300 guests and will beautifully blend historic details with modern conveniences. Whether they’re enjoying cocktails on the mezzanine level or touring the original bank vault, guests will delight in all the amenities and historic features.

Built in 1931 by the noted Dayton architectural firm of Schenck & Williams the building is steeped in Dayton history. As Dayton’s only Art Deco ‘setback’ style skyscraper, Liberty Tower was once Dayton’s tallest building and is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
