Our son was gifted cucumbers..a lot of cucumbers. We made a variety of dill pickle styles today. Pete was in bread baking mode. Rye, dried cranberry/walnut/and chocolate chips finally a keto flour dried cherry and almond loaf.

Pete has been asking for egg rolls. I marinated chicken in mushroom soy sauce, ginger, garlic, toasted sesame oil & rice vinegar. After dicing it finely & cooking it in the wok, I used up some leftover slaw mix w shallot and set aside. I made my version of duck sauce w apricot jam, preseverd plums, ginger garlic, soy, cayenne you know the drill. Then used leftover rice for some classic fried rice. It was pretty tasty.

Since so many of you have shared our lives..today we took Maybe for her last walk. She was a vast and integral part of our lives since June 2012. We will miss her indefinitely and incredibly. Rest easy Lou Lee we love you well.

Ben's Battery 2800 N. Dixie Dr. Dayton. We went two days ago to buy a battery. Pete dropped it and and it broke. Totally our fault. We went to buy another..they replaced it at no charge. Do you think a major retailer would do that for you? Shop local folks, every chance you get 💚

Since his 1st loaf, Pete has made a salted rye and a white bread. This is a rehash of the original toasted walnut w/double the dried cherry and cranberry w/ the addition of chocolate chips.
