🇭đŸ‡ș This is how the Hungarian Summit delegation's adventure in Budapest began!

Our first day was packed with amazing experiences – we explored some of the most beautiful and exciting spots in the city. The morning started strong with a visit to the Dohány Street Synagogue, followed by a walk through the Jewish Quarter, and then we continued on to downtown highlights like the St. Stephen’s Basilica, Liberty Square, the Reagan Statue, the 1944 Memorial
 and so much more!

đŸœïž One of the top moments? Lunch at the Strudel House! Not only did we get to taste delicious traditional Hungarian strudel, but we also saw how it’s made – fresh, warm, and unforgettable. 😍

The afternoon was just as exciting: we headed to City Park, visited the House of Hungarian Music, the Museum of Ethnography, Heroes’ Square, took a guided tour of the stunning Opera House, and then crossed over to the Buda Castle District – the views truly took our breath away.

đŸ· We ended the day with a lovely dinner and wine tasting, filled with great conversations, laughter, and the feeling that we were already becoming more than just a delegation – we were becoming a community.

An unforgettable day – full of discoveries, connection, and fun. And this was only the beginning!

💬 We’re truly honored that Dr. István Peták joined us at the Hungarian Summit – and even more so that he shared a fantastic reflection on the experience!

Coming from the world of science, innovation, and healthcare, he brought a unique perspective to the event. During the panel discussion on “Transatlantic Innovation, Capital, and the AI-Powered Future of Health,” he shared powerful insights on how Hungarian and American professionals can build together across borders.

🎉 Breaking: The smartest student in Pennsylvania is a Hungarian girl! 🎓🇭đŸ‡ș

And what makes it even more heartwarming: she sent us a personal video message! đŸ„č💌

We’re beyond excited to share that the 2024–2025 PAGE Distinguished Student Award in the elementary school category (grades 3–6) was awarded to Alexia Bathazi – officially making her the most outstanding student in her age group across the entire state of Pennsylvania! đŸ€ŻđŸ‘

But what makes this news truly special for us:
Alexia is Hungarian, and the daughter of our dear friend and colleague, Judit. 💖
As a valued member of the Hungarian Summit community, we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate such incredible talent from within our own circles.

The 5th annual Hungarian Summit celebrated enduring friendships between the United States and Hungary, and included stops in Budapest, Debrecen, and Gyor. Delegates from the U.S. met with Hungarian leaders to engage in meaningful dialogues on Science, Business, Education, Community, Culture, and Sports. This year’s conference culminated with the U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Counselor sharing valuable insights on trade, tariffs, and transformation.
