2024 Spoon In Review: Last July was our 13th year catering the Dairy Cares Garden Party, a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital. We make apps, full meal, and late night snacks for 500+ guests, at a private home. We’re so proud that our donations and food have helped raise over $3 million! 2024 Spoon In Review: every new year we make a resolution to take more photos and to post online, but it never happens. So this time, we decided to take a look back at some of our favorite events from 2024. This event was a business dinner at a private home.

This Thanksgiving we’re grateful for the generosity of our clients, whose donations allowed us to make turkey dinner for 40 local hungry families this holiday! Wishing all of you a holiday of peace and gratitude.

We’re starting to harvest the first heirloom tomatoes from our “Spoongarden!” Every year we grow 2-3 dozen varieties to serve our guests (and eat ourselves). There’s nothing finer than a fresh tomato! Pictured: Green Zebra, New Big Dwarf, Sunrise Bumblebee, Gold Rush, and a mystery plant (maybe Cherokee Purple).

Today is our 11 year business anniversary! On this day in 2009 we catered our first big event, a wedding for 350 guests — we must have been crazy! We just catered an amazing and fun wedding with a 6-course dinner and seafood bar. From the bride: "You and your team were INCREDIBLE. In every way possible. The food was to die for. The kind faces and impeccable service did not go unnoticed. It felt like we were dining at the best restaurant in the world. We’re raising money and awareness for the De Pere Fire Relief Fund, assisting our neighbors who lost their homes and businesses to last week’s tragic fire. Today we were proud to donate over $1000 from a fundraiser we organized this week, thanks to our wonderful clients who participated!

The Runaway Spoon garden is really producing! Right now we're harvesting 17 of the 24 heirloom tomato varieties that we're growing this year, and the bigger tomatoes are just starting to ripen. There are few things as delicious as a fresh tomato, and the variety of flavors and textures is amazing. Coming to an event near you!
