We hope you had as much fun as we did at the Fall Harvest Festival at The Barn at Kill Creek Farm! Pulling off such a huge FREE community event would NOT have been possible without all of our amazing volunteers.

If you liked the free lunch, please thank the De Soto Pioneer 4-H Club.

If you loved the farm animals, thank members of the Johnson County, Kansas, Youth Livestock Club.

If you enjoyed the dog show demonstrations, give a shout out to the Johnson County Kansas 4-H Dog Club.

If your kids had a blast on the hay slide, please thank the De Soto KS Rotary Club.

If your family indulged in the cake walk, give kudos to the MANY members of the De Soto community who baked or provided goodies and our hosts: Miss and Little Miss De Soto Days and members of the DeSoto United Methodist Church.

If you rode in style on our rustic hayride, thank our Barn Board President and driver Barry Zimmerman. If you spotted the 15 pumpkin faces on the ride, thank his wife and owner of the Bees Knees Flower Stand Karen Zimmerman.

If you enjoyed shopping with our vendors, thank coordinator and Board member Kim Ingalls.

If you jumped at the chance to make your own jump rope, thank Bryce Zimmerman. If you cranked out some kernels for the corn bin, thank Brenna Schuler, Nick Schuler, Chase Zimmerman and Marissa Jackson.

If you got a sweet slice of homemade pie, thank the De Soto Kansas Baptist Church.

Finally, none of this would’ve been possible without our AMAZING Barn Board—a group of all volunteers that keep The Barn at Kill Creek Farm running. There’s no better way to learn about agriculture than by BEING on the farm! Bring the kids by Fall Harvest Festival at The Barn at Kill Creek Farm tomorrow to greet some friendly farm animals – we’ll have cows, pigs, goats, sheep and chickens showcased by local Johnson County Kansas 4-H youth! The Johnson County Dog Club will be doing agility demos with their dogs midday. Come experience the fun first-hand!
