Hope everyone enjoys the street fair. Sorry to say we won’t be there. Our schedule is not allowing it again. 🥴 Looking forward we are planning I believe a Sat/Sun drive thru cook in October & again in November. I’ll post when we start taking orders for those!! Yikes we really need an updated picture! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Last minute decision to offer a drive through Saturday, December 31. The expected warm-up in weather really helped this decision. I’ll take a temp of 55 after the last few days even if it’s going to be raining!!

***Street Fair Announcement***

I know everyone is getting excited for street fair & I have some Divine Barbecue news. Knowing we are going to disappoint many by this decision, we have decided to not do street fair this year. This is just a “this year” decision right now. Jon is still cooking for private events when he can fit them in. Jon’s full-time job is co-owner of Felger Electric, he is a master electrician with over 26 years of experience, and he is really good at his job! At the moment, with his work demands, adding street fair on top of it all is more stress than anyone would want. While street fair has become a huge annual event for our family, Divine Barbecue is still a “side/hobby” business, and has to take a back seat when needed….and this is sadly that year. I also need to add that we are losing May at the register (darn college, lol). She’s been my brave cashier right up front every day/all day for the last 2-3 years. She does a job I loathe & handles the line pressure every night. Poor Gus is just super bummed since fair has been in his life almost every year since he can remember. We realize because of our devoted customers and our booth workers street fair has become an annual event, and honestly we never thought it would be so popular! I know there are many who say they only come to street fair because of us, and that’s super cool and a huge compliment to us so we thank you all for your support & understanding!

Not leaving you hanging entirely, we’re planning a drive through cook mid-October!! I am not announcing a date & am not taking orders yet. So much depends on meat availability (as we were just told bird flu is taking out the supply again…… just in time for street fair if we were doing it.

Tips for pickup: hopefully the driveway won’t get backed up too bad, but we’ll get food out to you as quickly as possible. Have something to wrap food up in for warmth & have a place to set it, we’ll just pop open a door & set it where you direct. Cash, check, or card payment available.

While Jon & May are getting their week started at the Exposition show 🐷 in Indy, the parties we cook for still go on.

“Elvira” & I were in our own for the first time ever & I didn’t drop any leg quarters or a whole rack for that matter. 😁

Now to see if I can unload it with as much success in a few hours. 🤞🏼
