So many people ask us if this time of year we are finally getting a break. While the pace is not as intense, the to-do list is just as long (maybe longer.) Right now we are planting outside to overwinter plants for spring blooms. We are getting ready to dig up, wash, and divide dahlias, and we are also planning for evergreen and dried wreaths, and some on farm workshops. We are getting ready to plant all of our tulip bulbs. We are mapping out where things will be going next year and making repairs to equipment and structures. We are flipping beds and preparing the ground/plants for winter. We are ordering supplies/seeds/plugs/compost. So much is happening behind the seeds to get those gorgeous blooms growing and on time for next season!

Our flower subscriptions will go on sale this weekend! Here are the details:

🌸Our 2024 FLOWER subscription members will get an email this week for early access on Friday night (November 1st) at 7pm.

🌸Our EMAIL subscribers will get an email this week with early access on Saturday (November 2nd) at 10am (so sign up in our stories if you haven’t already!)

🌸Subscriptions will go on sale to the public on Saturday (November 2nd) at noon!

🌸We are listing our 6 week summer and fall subscriptions at this time.

🌸Spring subscriptions will be released late January/ early February to keep an eye on our spring crops which are more temperamental.

🌸 We are adding an on farm pickup option back in for those out of our delivery area!

These are perfect for gifting and come with a reminder magnet and nice post card with all of the details for you or your loved one!

It looks like we have an impending frost on Tuesday! So tomorrow’s farm stand may be your last chance for fresh flowers this growing season! The field is sending us off in such a beautiful way with all of these incredible fall harvest bouquets! Please come out tomorrow from 10am-2pm to enjoy the last of this labor of love! It’s that time of year where we are planning and planting for spring! Our annual tulip bulb sale is coming up! You can grow the same types of unique fancy tulip varieties that we grow here on the farm! As soon as they arrive (hopefully on time this week🤞) we will get the date set! 📣TWO BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS!📣

🌻We will NOT be at Central Park this weekend because we are heading out of town to celebrate our 16 year wedding anniversary! WE WILL HAVE THE FARM STAND OPEN FROM 8AM-NOON ON SATURDAY! You don’t want to miss all the dahlias and sunflowers….

🌻 We will have some of our first DRIED WREATHS on the farm stand Saturday!!! THERE ARE LIMITED QUANTITIES! We are trying to stay up with planting for spring, harvesting and caring for our fresh fall blooms, and garden tear down, so we WILL have more dried wreaths available in the coming weeks! They take so much time to put together, so as we get caught up we will have lots more available, we promise! (Check our stories for a preview!)

🌻You DON’T want to miss the fresh blooms this week! The dahlias and sunflowers are incredible, and so are our huge fluffy marigolds! (Dahlia field walk through in the stories, as well!)

The kiss of frost on our field is the bittersweet finale of our 2024 fresh flower growing season. I walked around giving every thing I could see my most sincere gratitude and goodbye until spring. What a beautiful way to witness death and rebirth on the most intimate and all consuming level.
