Our Story

A full-service deli and bakery located within The Landing Market in Decorah, Iowa. Offerings include handcrafted sandwiches and salads featuring scratch-made bread and local, artisan ingredients.

As a firm believer in the democratization of the farm-to-table movement, owner Phil Jahnke Sauer has made it his personal mission to help rural areas gain affordable access to high-quality, locally grown and produced foods.

With a dedication to life-long learning about food, agriculture and everything in between, we are pleased to offer the driftless region: Deli Arts & Letters, a scholarly approach to food.
