Luther College Music Department Luther College’s Music Department proudly supports five choirs, three orchestras, two bands, two jazz bands, and 600 student musicians!

At Luther College, our campus is alive with the sounds of five choirs, three orchestras, two bands, two jazz bands, and over 600 student musicians. Our student musicians actively participate in large ensembles, faculty-coached chamber groups, private lessons, master classes, and many other enriching opportunities. Over 160 music majors study music theory/ear training, history, education, compositi

On November 13, the Brass Ensemble will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Faith and Life, showcasing the rich, bold sounds of brass music.

The following night, November 14, join us for an energetic performance by the Luther College Jazz Band, at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Faith and Life. Expect a night full of dynamic rhythms, smooth melodies, and the infectious energy of live jazz.

The Luther College Jazz Orchestra is hitting the road and heading to Rochester, Minnesota! 🎷

If you’re in the area, don’t miss this chance to enjoy a Sunday afternoon of incredible live jazz! Join us on November 10 at 3 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church for an exciting performance led by Dr. Guzmán. Experience everything from jazz standards to fresh compositions. At , you can earn a music scholarship regardless of your major!

Whether through an audition or recognition of your past achievements, music scholarships are awarded on top of academic ones and can be renewed for up to four years. Just participate in music, enroll in applied lessons, and join a large ensemble with your awarded instrument.
