Just a reminder that (most) baby birds come out of their nests and learn to fly from the ground up. If you see a fledgling, fully feathered, eyes open, and capable of hopping, and the baby bird is not bleeding or out of sorts, don't panic! If he/she can hop, then the baby is building muscles to fly. Often, they seem to be alone, which stresses a lot of finders out. That is because Mom and Dad are busy caring for all of their babies who all fledge around the same time and disperse in different directions. Mother Nature is amazing! Babies go opposite directions to increase the chance of more of them surviving. If the fledgling appears to be in imminent danger, it is ok to move them out of harms way and put them into a safer spot away from the threat. Not too far! and you just need to "trust" that Mother Nature knows best. It is the normal process of development. Abducting babies at this critical stage is damaging to their learning how to survive and you will not be able to feed that baby like the parents do. NEVER offer liquids of any kind, even with a dropper. Please don't feed the babies worms or anything else. Leave them be and if you must watch, do so from a safe distance as to not discourage the adults from coaxing them along. Trust... we know it is often a hard thing to do, but they've got this...

Rose LaFleur, a fine artist who is inspired by nature, specializes in
wood burning, using recycled wood scraps to make her magical
creations. From wood burned earrings to intricate wall hangings, her work is finely detailed and immersed in the beauty of nature.

Lou and Melissa Ferrara have owned New England Alpacas since 1996. Each spring, their beautiful alpacas are shorn and their fiber becomes beautiful products for everyone to enjoy. From yarn, nesting balls and felted boot liners to socks, hats, gloves and other garments, they offer something for everyone! All products are available on their website nealpacas.com.

Janet Verney – Janets Fashion Flips, an upcycle artist, specializing in wearable art using thrifted and vintage textiles. In addition, she creates framed art upcycling tea bags, along with pendants upcycled from river, sea glass and shells.
