The 1987 Group is looking for experienced truck drivers to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Drivers are picking up a double trailer that is already loaded in Holtsville and bringing to Massachusetts, Bellmawr, an Newark. This is a NO TOUCH FREIGHT POSITION. You will go to the location, unhook the loaded trailer, hook on the empty trailer and return back.

Days: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Hours: 10:00pm until your route is complete.

1099 Contracting Position

MUST HAVE CDL A EXPERIENCE

Doubles Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills

Proven work experience as a truck driver
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid truck driving license
