Our Story

*About me* Hello, welcome and thank you for visiting JL Photography c! I love being able to share my passion for photography and the images of my beautiful client(s) with others. I'm a dairy farm raised country girl with a love for most everything new and old. I love antique stores and thrift shops & DIY creativity to make my work stand out from others. Since I was a child, my 2 best birthday gifts were my hot pink Le Clic 110 film camera & soon after that, my black Vivitar 110 film camera (both had) 24 exposure film, I've loved taking pictures of just about everything I could. ^^^^^^ (I’m dating myself here, lol)^^^^^^ In the past 10+ years, I’ve had many wonderful family & friends for clients, as well as referrals. I always love meeting new people (and of course taking pictures) so being a photographer is perfect for a social butterfly like me! I love to express my creativity & I am always looking for ways to improve my skills & find memorable ways to get great images for each client. I have taken an at home/online photography course as well as an at home/online wedding and event planning course. Spending years honing my skills as a photographer with much trial and error has been great to learn from. I love to research new, exciting and creative things in the world of photography. I also love client ideas, your session with me is about YOU wanting to make memories that you can’t wait for your family, friends and loved ones to see on your walls, that you can cherish and be proud of. I will work with you to do everything I can to help you make those memories. Practice makes you better than you were yesterday and knowledge is power to constantly strive for the best. 100% of me, my knowledge and creativity (along with client’s ideas) are put into creating photo memories for my clients to love. It took me months of research to put together my session packages and pricing. I am a full service photographer; meaning I include professional, lab quality prints and Keepsake DVD’s with digital images in each of the session packages that I offer, as well as offer many wonderful gift options to add to your session package. I work hard to keep prices low for clients so that they are able to afford and cherish memories which would have otherwise been forgotten, because “they thought pictures were too expensive to invest in”. (If you do not see a specific session package, we can work together to create one just for you!) Whatever memories you want photographed to share with loved ones and to cherish, I want to help you make that happen.

I’m always up for new ideas, locations and challenges. I specialize in on location sessions (outdoor). The greatest compliments to me as a photographer are when someone likes an image I’ve created, gives me a great review, leaves me a nice comment and shares my page and images to others.
