Please stay in the house if you can. & check on your loved ones.

Make sure you have warm air circulating around your pipes. Leave a trickle of water going (if needed) to to keep the pipes from freezing.

If you have a remote starter, hit it and let the car warm up for a minute or so (believe it or not, they say, leaving your car to idle for longer than that can diminish your fuel economy and cause wear and tear on your engine). Make sure you have an emergency kit in your vehicle (blankets, flares, hand warming packets, flashlight, wireless phone charger).

Since 4 AM we are averaging about 1” - 2” of snow every hour. In the past 2 hours or so Dekalb has gotten about 4” of snow this morning and it’s still falling and blowing.

The total projection between today and tomorrow for my area will be 8” - 12” of snow total.

It’s actually decent outside at about 35° but it’s going to suck this afternoon as the temperature plummets and it starts to rain

Overnight Sunday is going to be dangerous. The temperature will be -10° with a windchill of -35°.

Please be careful out there this weekend people and definitely check on your loved ones
