Time is running out!

Del Rio runners, walkers, bikers, strollers and all, today marks the inaugural TacoRiendo 5K fun event. Late and last-minute participants can still register in person today at 11am at the Brown Plaza Association office. The medals serve as unique keepsakes.

Participate in the Night and Light Up Parade on September 14, 2025. The inaugural TacoRiendo 5K will commence prior to the parade route, cheered on by spectators. We are also seeking Parade Ambassadors for this year; all late parade participants are still welcome and encouraged to report to the lineup as of 7:30pm. Late entries, please proceed to line up on San Felipe Ave block of 500 and onwards.

Be a participant, spectator or promoter of event. We appreciate your support.

Make sure to cheer the runners coming through the parade route before the parade route. Be loud and let’s fiesta!

Former Brown Plaza Royalty we hope to see you in the parade. Free entry. Parade starts at 8pm and running crowd should hit the parade route around 7:15ish.

This morning's registration and bib pick up went smoothly, and we are ready to welcome the next batch of participants from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at the Brown Plaza Association office. We anticipate seeing you all today, Saturday, September 13th.
In person registration today. 1:30-3:30pm.

TacoRiendo 5K Bibs will be available for pickup on Saturday, September 13th, at the Brown Plaza Association office during designated hours of 10am-12pm and 2-4pm. Late registration remains available.

In light of the forecasted heavy rain and potential flooding on Sunday, September 7th, the Brown Plaza Association is postponing the 16 de Septiembre Kickoff ceremony. The well-being and safety of all participants and attendees remain our utmost concern during this inclement weather.

The coronation will be held Monday, September 15th at 8:30pm before the Grito.

We invite everyone to register for the Inaugural TacoRiendo 5K and traditional parade and the 3 day festivities. Please see the different flyers for separate event details. The 5 K participants can stop by Brown Plaza on Thursday, September 11th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm to pick up bibs and to register.
