In 2010, owner, Rebecca Cook, was asked to photograph a newly engaged friend's engagement pictures. From there, what was once just photographing mediocre shots of Lake Erie, wildflowers and the family dog ignited into a passion to learn more and more about the art of photography, light and genuine human interaction.
In 2013, Rebecca's husband joined the ever growing force of ENV and began aiding in financial planning, accounting and other administrative tasks while still continuing to work full time. Later that year, a large request for a second photographer was sought after by clients. Rebecca and Jonathan made the decision to train Jonathan to become ENV's second photographer for weddings and events.
The latest and biggest achievement of ENV was recently completed in 2017. Since the founding of ENV, a profound demand from clients was a studio, a physical home for ENV. After much consideration, in 2014, Rebecca and Jonathan followed their desire for a studio space and created a floor plan along with monitary goals to build and complete a free standing 400 sq. ft. studio on their private estate. After three years of hot summers and cold winters, Jonathan had built the studio of his wife's dreams. The studio services meetings with clients and sessions year round.
Over the years, ENV has become a large name in the Mount Vernon community and Knox County area. Winning national and international awards, they continue to strive to put their client's interests and personality at the forefront of their creativity. Their work has been featured in local publishing's such as (614), Ohio Tourism guides and reaching out towards national outlets including The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Midwest Living Magazine, and many more. With a heart for charity, Rebecca and Jonathan have used their talents to donate money and time to local groups such as Stockings for Seniors, Knox County Humane Society, Starting Point and even larger charities including United Way and Samaritan's Purse.
