Only one more week to secure your table to sell your leftover wedding decor to the next soonlywed at our first “mini” Wedding Flea Market (Jodi’s other business) at Station House 7 that will be taking place on September 28th from 11-2.

Once we have the final number of sellers, the shopper tickets (based on seller participation) will go on sale the week of the event.

We will try to do these in lieu or in conjunction with our usual large event.

I started Wedding Flea Market in 2015 while watching one of the two Facebook groups I founded struggle with typical Marketplace issues, along with having multiple meet ups for multiple wedding items.

From the very first event, we outgrew every space. It got that popular. In fact, there are people all over the country trying to start their own based off my concept. Sadly, some have stolen my trademarked name and logo, photos and copy our wording. Anyway…

In August 2019, I tried a brick-and-mortar version of Wedding Flea Market. I signed a lease on a gorgeous two-floor historic building in Delmont we named Station House 7 and started taking consignment.
The pandemic hit and the store model was short-lived.
What I also learned was that Wedding Flea Market is supposed to stay exactly what it is - a person-to-person shopping event.

I had put a considerable amount of money to renovate the inside of the gorgeous building. It was an empty shell when I got there.

People were already starting to rent the second floor before we closed the store because the building is stunning. When you see it, you’ll know what I mean.

Instead of giving up on Station House 7, I reopened as an event venue for small weddings and showers and it was the best move ever! We consistently book events. We also include all decor from our huge inventory for their events. Kinda makes sense with the Wedding Flea Market background, right?

Well, it is time to pivot the Wedding Flea Market. The costs of the convention center are just too high and we can’t sustain that business if we remain there.

So we have decided to bring Wedding Flea Market to Station House 7! They are sisters, after all.

Starting at the end of August, we are going to do Wedding Flea Market once a month over an entire weekend at the venue!

It won’t be the same as the convention center, by any means. The events will be much smaller.

How small you ask? Only up to 21 sellers per day. Different ones each day to allow for more shopper variety and because sellers often sell out the first day.

We will only have up to 125 shoppers per day since it is a small space.

However, ticket pricing is now much lower.

Like before, tickets and spaces must be paid in advance. But no tickets will be sold at the door due to the smaller venue.

Due to limited space, we need to keep the mission of our Wedding Flea Market events as couple-to-couple wedding decor resale.

With that, wedding businesses of any kind can no longer get a table. BUT we have an opportunity to give them great visibility during the markets through affordable advertising.

We will also be scheduling another event just for wedding artisans called Made To Marry. We had success with this when we did one at the venue.

Our first Wedding Flea Market will be on August 31 and September 1 from 11am - 2pm.

You will be able to get your spots and tickets at any time on our website for whatever month that you choose! All 2024 dates are posted and available for purchase!

We are very sad to leave the convention center. It was perfect and they are great to work with, but it was costly for our ‘lil business. They house very large conventions and trade shows.

Wedding Flea Market is not that. We don’t charge trade show prices for tickets and spaces - because couples aren’t businesses. You are couples trying to buy and sell your leftover decor.

We know these are big changes. Changes make me nervous too. But sometimes you have to pivot to survive.

You will get way more shopping and selling opportunities, cheaper rates, more days, and it’s all housed inside a small business.

We hope you will come on this new adventure with us. Let’s see where it takes us all.
