Tip 5: Have FUN! The planning and details can be super stressful, but it can be a lot of fun when you hire the right professionals. Make sure that you vibe with the people who will be attending to your day. They should feel like friends, and you should feel comfortable with them and their abilities. Take your time screening your vendors and they will make sure you have an epic time on your big day!

Tip 4: Personalize the details of the day! Everything can have little significant touches added to it. Do you love to travel? Consider naming tables after your favorite places. Have a special drink you each prefer? Maybe do a couple of signature cocktails. Put your own spin on things and make it really special!

It took me a while to develop relationships with my clients that feel less like hired professional to your event or photo session and more like we’re just good friends.

People work with me because of how I make them feel more than anything else. There’s a huge difference between clocking in as a photographer and being invested. Too many wedding and photo professionals are just “dialing it in” with their clients, and so many see your wedding day or other treasured memories as a money maker for themselves. They may be talented and amazing, but do they care? Will they treat your wedding with the same care as they treated their own?

Me? I’ve worked with many vendors and know what it feels like to have your future in their hands… worried about the details…wondering if it will match your vision…and unsure if you checked off all the tiny details of your to-do list.

You need a photographer who really “gets” you, who understands what you need and what you need to know, how fast you’re ready to move, and how much hand-holding you need.

To me, an unforgettable client experience is a four-letter word: Care
