We are so thrilled with the response to our Dahlia Frost Event yesterday! We were asked many times why we did this. Collier Row tries to cautiously share our personal beliefs with our business audience however, we feel compelled to answer the question asked because it is legitimate. Collier Row, and many of our staff have a strong Judeo-Christian faith. In as much we attempt, no matter how many times we fail, to live a life that reflects that belief.

In the Old Testament Book of Deuteronomy and Leviticus, it states that farmers should leave the edges of their fields unharvested (pe'ah), should not pick up that which was dropped (gleanings), and should not harvest any overlooked produce that had been forgotten when they harvested the majority of a field. The items would then be gleaned by widows and the less fortunate. In our case, we believe the less fortunate may be someone who has suffered the loss of a loved one, illness, loneliness, personal struggles, etc. It is our hope that these flowers were accepted as a gift to show love and God's amazing ability to create and design beauty in our flowers.
