DENISON, Texas (KTEN) — The Empowered Closet is a non-profit Denison organization dedicated to supporting pregnant women and mothers with small children.
KTEN's Caroline Kellam spoke with the founder and a young mother who has been impacted by the new non-profit.
This organization is doing great things helping the children and mothers in our community! Help them raise money to expand their office by dropping your new and gently used shoes off at the venue! Stop in for a tour while you are there!

It's Wedding Planning Time!
Your venue is one of the most important decisions you will make - and one of the first! Once you decide plan your event - answer these questions.
When is the event? It is recommended to book your venue 4-6 months in advance for most events, 12 months for weddings!
Some months are popular and book up quickly this time of year.
How many guests? That will also determine venues suitable for your event. We can accommodate up to 90 guests.
What is your budget? The venue and catering could take up a substantial part of your budget. We offer very competitive pricing and allow you to choose your own caterer.

About the Instructor:
Josh Zuniga has been dancing competitively for 28 years. He has been teaching for 20 years. Teaching social and competition he works to reach the goals of all students. Dancing in all styles, Country Western, Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Theater Arts/Adiago, and Ballroom. Starting at a very young age and advancing from Junior to Master's level, Josh has advanced on the dance circuits as he traveled the world teaching and competing. Holding 50+ Grand Champion titles, theater arts titles, and most recently the UCWDC Showcase Two Step World Champion dancing with his professional partner Melissa Fox.

Group lessons are $25.00 per person per day, paid $100.00 up front for the 4 week session.
Private Lessons are $80.00 per lesson (couple or single).

The Venue on Main is a beautiful event space on Historic Main street in Denison Texas. Capacity is 90. The 2400 space features hard wood floor, columns and original tin tiles on the 16 foot ceiling. In the heart of downtown Denison you can host a variety of events in this 1880's building at 519 W Main Street. It is a perfect venue for social events or classes. Particularly well suited for weddings, receptions,dances, reunions, meetings and parties.
Saturday rental $750.00, Friday and Sunday $500.00 and $300.00 Monday - Thursday. A refundable security deposit is $250 is due 30 days prior to event. The Venue has attached bathrooms and a service area with large sink for catering and cleanup. Rent includes use of 20 long tables and 90 chairs.
