We wanted to take some time to appreciate all of our vendors who make what we do here at OPM possible! Each week we want to highlight one of our local vendors that helps OPM each and every day.

This week's vendor spotlight is Schaefer Farms and Greenhouses of Denton, MD! They provide OPM with various types of hydroponic lettuces, herbs, basil, microgreens and pesto! Their products are perfect for salads, cooking and other needs! 🥬

I had lots of grand plans for these garlic scapes from Round Stone Farm MD but they were just so pretty, I decided to leave them be and let them show off their natural beauty. And boy, did they ever 😍 focaccia with garlic scapes, Schaefer Farms sage, and goat cheese!
Alsooo today- danishes!
•Savory: housemade ricotta (made with Nice Farms Creamery, LLC milk, obvi), Round Stone Farm green & purple asparagus, a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of salt & pepper 💚
•Sweet: vanilla bean mousse topped with roasted Redemption Farms strawberries & rhubarb 🍓
Plus lots of sweet treats like strawberry pretzel salad cheesecake slices, freshly baked cookies, quiche, scones, biscuits and the best cup of coffee to warm your soul. We’re here until 4pm, see you soon 🌞

Look at the size of this finstar 🤯😍 it can hardly fit in the container! Finstar is a curly and crunchy leaf lettuce perfect for sandwiches or my personal favorite a crabcake😏

Be the change❤
With the Covid-19 pandemic and many families out of work struggling to find ways to feed their families we here at Schaefer farms are doing our part of giving back. Today we packed up 18 dozen heads of lettuce to donate to the MD food back!

Looking for a reliable, responsible and hard-working individuals to start working in greenhouses during mostly daytime hours(7-4) but we also have evening work available too! Perfect for high school students looking for evening or weekend work.
Must have your own transportation and willing to work in the heat (Greenhouse is 10 to 20 degrees hotter than outside currently but will rise as summer approaches) pay is minimum wage.
