Stressed because your venue doesn’t want real flowers to be thrown when you walk down the aisle?
Ask if they allow silk flowers! It’s an easier clean up, often times cheaper, and gives the real look of flowers that you’re going for!!
A lot of times, venues don’t want flower petals to be thrown due to mess, the possibility of carpet stains, or for their own personal reasons!
Other fun options instead of throwing flowers for your wedding day are bubbles, a small bouquet, a glowing candle, or even having your flower girl walk a pet down the aisle!

If I could give one tip to a bride out there, it would be to not sweat the small stuff. I’m going to be very honest with you; your wedding will not go perfectly. Something will happen, whether it’s the hotel didn’t save a room for your mom, your videographer got lost, you forgot your rehearsal dinner shoes, and so on. But the secret is that everything will be okay.
Instead of focusing on the small mistakes, focus on the sweet moments. Like signing your marriage license, or the initial moment once you and your new husband walk out of your ceremony. Focus on how good the cake tastes and how much fun it is to dance with your great aunt and best friend at the same time.
Enjoy your wedding day, and don’t sweat the small stuff!!

Remember, you don’t need a huge budget to make something look timeless! All you need is a few flower vases, candles, and a planner with a vision!

Tips for spending some alone time with your significant other on your wedding day:
1. First look- okay okay, I know this is controversial. Every bride wants that magical moment of walking down the isle and having their soon to be husband cry seeing them for the first time. And who could blame them! But I’m here to tell you that even with a first look, your future hubby will cry as you walk down the isle. A first look offers you a moment alone with your spouse before all of the craziness of the wedding and reception!
2. A private dinner- take a moment after you’re married to sit down with your now husband and soak in the first moments of being husband and wife!! This is a great option for brides who don’t want to do a first look.
3. Driving from the ceremony location to the reception- if you have two separate locations, let your bridal party take the party bus and arrange for a car to take just you and your new husband to the reception, then party the night away with everyone!!
4. A private last dance- allow yourselves to take in the whole day while your guests line up for the grand exit with one last dance. How sweet!!

Why hire a wedding planner? Great question!
One of the biggest perks of investing in a wedding planner is taking responsibility off of your plate. Let’s face it; working full-time, juggling bridal showers and bachelorette parties, and just doing your day-to-day chores is a lot! Planning a wedding on top of that can be very stressful!! That’s where we come in. You will no longer have to worry about talking to vendors, making sure everyone in your wedding walks down the aisle at the right time, or having the right information to manage your budget and timeline. We do it all!
You are able to enjoy you engagement period knowing your wedding is being taken care of.

So you just got engaged? Now what?
First off, congratulations!! This is such an exciting time for you!
When thinking about your next steps, sit down with your partner and think about what is most important to YOU. That will help guide the rest of the planning process.
For example, if finding the perfect venue is most important to you, you might have to wait until they have an available date. On the flip side, if getting married sooner rather than later is the most important thing to you, you may not get your #1 venue.
There is no wrong way to prioritize your values. It’s whatever works for you and your partner!
Other things to consider might be finding the best photographer/ videographer, getting married in a particular season, etc.
