What are some of your great travel pictures, I would love to see them!

Yesterday morning I headed into Pittsburgh to capture moonset and sunrise. Both were a bust. This morning, I gave it another go, and this time they worked out perfectly.

Actually, I'd say better. If I had got the shot that I set out for yesterday, I probably wouldn't have gone out this morning. But I was looking for some redemption after clouds messed up the image I hoped for on Sunday morning, and I like this shot better than the one that I had planned.

A few days ago I shot a similar composition, but that one was from the Andy Warhol Bridge. That meant that more of the Trimont (the office building/apartments by the incline) was more or less right next to the upper station. This is a much cleaner view.

The thing that really puts this over the top though is the incline car on the tracks. A few days ago the incline wasn't even open when I was capturing this scene, and since the moon set later this morning, there were plenty of riders.

Lots more to come from today, including another view of the moon and incline that I never thought to capture...until today.

Being a scuba diver and diving in Australia, I am thankful to have had an amazing time in Australia, and I get to just see this photo and not have the experience of diving with the sharks. Although I have done that a lot in Belize.

Amazing shot of two sharks caught inside a glassy wave captured by photographer Sean Scott in Australia.

He spends a lot of time in front of the camera, surrounded by the crystal blue water. He portrays the beauty of the area and the wildlife that inhabit it in his bright photographs.

This shot demonstrates the immense strength of waves and how they may engulf any organism, large or little. Two sharks are seen inside a massive ocean wave in this photograph. The couple is fighting the current head on, with their tails towards us. The water’s power, along with their intense swimming, appeared to have frozen them in place.

Awesome capture!

This is a great post! Thank you to ALL the Police Officers putting their life on the line everyday to serve and protect us!

”Went for a quick bite to eat today, and while standing in line, I was asked by a large group of bikers to cut in front of them. I declined, but they insisted. As I made my way past them they all thanked me and shook my hand, each one introducing themselves. When I got to the front, they asked if they could pray for me. Said a quick prayer for me and I for them. They then tried to buy my lunch which I politely refused. Get to the counter to pay and the owner told me it was on the house. So I dumped all the cash I had in the tip jar. Was a nice change of pace to feel appreciated and respected instead of feared or hated. Thanks for making my day!!! ”

Starting my Travel company at the age of 25, I truly believe this is one of my best stories to share. It reminds me of my parents message to all 6 of their girls. Be Kind Take you eyes off yourself and help someone else. Lesson learned from this awesome gentleman.

"Laura Failner is a SkyWest flight attendant. On July 7th, she witnessed this moment of kindness.
"I love looking for the good in the world! As I flew up to Washington today, I had this cute little 94-year-old lady get on my plane. She was frail and had a hard time getting back to her seat. There was a bit of confusion about where she was supposed to be seated. In first-class, this wonderful gentleman saw her plight and flagged me down. He said, "can you please get her and put her in my seat, and I will take hers." He walked back with me to get her and take her to first class. She was so touched. The woman gave him a big hug and said, "Never in my 94 years has someone done that for me. Thank you, young man." She had tears of gratitude. It was amazing how his thoughtful act changed the attitude of everyone on the flight. May we all look for the little things we can do to help others around us and show kindness. In this crazy world, let's all try to be the good."

One of my best friends in the world, Manette Steele has an amazing bed-and-breakfast up in Ridgeway right next to Ouray. So so many memories have been created throughout the years. The international ice climbing event was being held and so fun to witness! You are really should consider heading that direction staying at her amazing bed and breakfast, witness her little minii horses and the beauty of Ouray and Ridgway!!
