The day that I chose me was the day that I set myself free. For many years, I questioned my worth and allowed other people to determine that for me. I craved outside validation and for others to love me. Due to that, I denied my intuition and carelessly refused to listen to my heart. Over time I decided, even though it was painful, that it was crucial for me to face my childhood, the abuse and my most intense fears. I literally had to strip everything away to find myself again. Healing is not an easy road, but it is a road of self discovery, empowerment, and eventually a whole new life that sets us free to see this world for all it has to offer. ❤️ ~Eugene

So I don’t normally share health challenges but here goes. Yesterday I faced one of my biggest fears. I’ve had some recent complications in my left eye over the last few months. I have been experiencing blurry vision and white flashing light whenever I am in sunlight. I have seen two eye doctors and a retina specialist. They have determined that I have a disorder that creates an imbalance with blood vessels that creates fluid that builds up behind the retina itself. It’s usually caused from impact trauma. Many of you know I had an extreme fall three years ago and they believe that it could’ve triggered this condition. Unfortunately, the only way to treat this is by having a shot in your eyeball. Basically, if I don’t have the shots done once a month in my eye, I could completely lose my vision in my left eye overtime. I have never been a fan of needles especially in my eye. I faced it and I’m stronger for it. The warrior in me can do this and keep twirling through life. 
Another wake up call to be grateful for the physical body and for the human experience. Yes, there’s a lot of turmoil in our world right now especially politically. My body, my health and my well-being is more important than any outside chaos created from human beings who refuse to get their s**t together. I encourage all of you to focus on your health and wellbeing, your family, your friends, your creativity, and cherish the moments you have. We must take a stand and we must fight for Justice but at the end of the day what really matters is the experience that we take away from this temporary thing we call life. My life is worth something, and I will live it to the fullest until my time is up. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
