Good morning, lovelies! 😎 Grateful for a beautiful Colorado day, and the best partner a girl could ask for! We have lived and breathed (and dreamt!) today’s event, our largest to date!, for the past 7 weeks. It’s all coming together and we’re so excited for Revel Apartments’ Grand Opening!

While May is officially over, we still have a few more days until we can call this school year complete. It’s been a nutty few weeks, and it feels good to be in the home stretch. We spent the morning setting up graduation decor at Stacy’s kiddos’ school. We watched the kindergartners in their caps walk in as we were leaving - they were so tiny. It’s hard to remember our own babies being that small because they are so big now. 🥹 So big in fact, that Stacy’s son will be graduating 5th grade this week. 🥳 Time flies! For all those feeling life move at top speed, we hope it slows down just enough for you to celebrate and enjoy all the wonderful moments that happen as the school year ends and summer begins. And for all you graduates out there, congrats!

Today was THE BEST day. And also, the windiest.💨 There’s always a little risk associated with an outdoor event in Denver in April, and today Mother Nature decided to dole out 25-35 mph winds. BUT with a little improvisation and the most amazing clients (thank you Natalie and Will!) and hubbies (seriously, thank you Matt and Jared!), we were able to add tarp walls to the tent and block out that pesky wind. And Freya’s Stock Show birthday party came to life! 🤠🐴🐮🐓🐑 The Urban Farm was the perfect venue, and the mechanical bull, well that was just the icing on the cake. Moo-garitas were enjoyed by all (all the adults that is 😉) and the birthday girl’s cake surely did not disappoint. Lots of little farm details made this party one that we just couldn’t help but get giddy-up… err, I mean giddy, about (it’s late, I’m delirious, so just give me that one 😂).

Stacy and I have been busy little party planners as of late. Three events this past month and another one next week. We are so excited and so grateful to be back at it. Lots of good stuff to share, which I'm behind on... surprised? Yeah, me neither. 😂 BUT FIRST, let's talk about last night. It was epic, friends. The kind of stuff we live for. And while technically not a Simply Celebrate event, an event we poured our heart and soul into nevertheless. I am the auction chair for my kiddos school and last night we hosted "A Night At The Speakeasy" at Tivoli Turnhalle. We went for a mostly classic take on a 20's theme, leaning into a glamorous and somewhat romantic vibe. Black, gold, ivory, ostrich feathers, candles, and flowers. So many stunning flowers. It was beautiful. And so much fun. Like playing casino games, being silly in the photo booth, and dancing the night away kind of fun. My feet hurt from all the dancing, but my heart is so full.

I would be remiss if I didn't take the time to thank all the amazing vendors who helped bring this event to life. Many of which we've had the pleasure to work with many times over and who deserve all the praise as they are so good at what they do. If you're local, please consider them for your future event needs! And a special shoutout to Liz with for working her magic on this no make-up, athleisure wearing, haven't been to an event in 2 years mama and turning her to someone she didn't even recognize, but liked very much. 😉

Happy Friday, party people! Remember us? I know, we've almost forgotten too. 😂 It seems our IG has spent a fair amount of time in quarantine these past two years. While events still look a little different, we are so excited to be back in the swing of things lately. We're in the midst of planning a few events right now, so we popped into one of our happy places today to talk all things dessert. And because you simply cannot walk into Michelle's store and not want all the desserts, we may have walked out with a few tasty treats for ourselves too. 😋

We blinked, and somehow it’s nearly the end of July, already past the midway point of summer break. 😢 We have enjoyed a busy and fun spring/summer and are ready to hit the pause button for some much anticipated vacation time. But before we do, we wanted to share a little of what we’ve been up to. Let’s start with this dinner party. Oh summer dinner parties, how we love thee. If they weren’t so much work, we’d throw one for ourselves. 😂 And steal this very table design. Such beauty in its simplicity. Just the way a summer table should be. Light and summery with rattan chargers and white dinner plates. A navy runner to ground our table design and to add a depth of color to our palette. A last minute thought to incorporate these eye-catching salad plates, which 100% ended up being one of our favorite details, and perfectly tied together the blue from the runner. Flowers. Gorgeous shades of pink and peach, which offered the perfect pop of color.

Happy International Women's Day! Today, as I was driving my my kids to school we were talking about what today celebrates and I asked them if they could tell me about a woman they know or have learned about that inspires them through their character or by what they contribute to their family, friends, and community. And my son simply responds, "You." Holy heart melt, people. Half the time I'm fairly certain my kids are not even paying attention to me, especially at 7:45 in the morning, but today, they were listening. ❤️ In honor of International Women's Day, we want to give a shout out (look at their brilliant work!) to the truly inspiring women we are so fortunate to work with - .events We admire your creativity, passion, hard work, and drive to be everything you want to be, all while juggling the many roles you play in your life. Thank you for helping us to build our own dream into a reality. And to my badass lady partner, , you rock life on a daily basis, always with grace and in a seemingly effortless way, which I not only admire but aspire to. 😘

Greyson’s fabulous mama wanted a fabulous dessert table, to which we said, “Heck, yeah!” I mean dessert tables may be one of our favorite things in life after all. And seeing as how we had to stand guard at the table to prevent kids and parents alike from sneaking a treat before it was time, we’d say: mission accomplished.

We’re going to let you in on a little secret: about 48 hours before every event we anxiously ask ourselves if we have “enough.” We always do, but that doesn’t stop us from a brief moment of panic that has us grabbing a few extras from around our homes just in case. Case in point: our cute little lion jumping through a ring of fire. A circus must-have, right? Well, this decor element is brought to you by the metal ring decor that sits on Stacy’s mantle, Liv generously letting us borrow her lion, and some leftover gold tinsel from a 40th birthday party we planned from the night before this party. Sometimes that last minute thought can turn into a favorite decor detail. 🙂

Hey friends! You know what's awesome? Fridays. You know what else is awesome? This bright and fun circus themed first birthday. Stacy and I have coined a word, sophistifun. Sophisticated + fun = sophistifun. It's how we like to think of ourselves and our style, although somedays we're just moms in yoga pants doing our best to keep it all together, but I digress. 😉 This party challenged us. We wanted to create a bright and colorful space that screamed fun, but still felt elevated. We poured a lot of thought and creative love into this one and we are so happy with how it turned out. Isn't she lovely? 😍 I just love days like today. Cozied up inside with the beauty of winter just outside my window. Today, I'm joined by my two sick kiddos. And while I wish they weren't feeling under the weather, I'll happily soak up this quiet, snuggly day with them as they rest and get better. Sometimes these little pauses life hands us are so welcomed. After a truly special year, we decided to take pause and savor the winter break with our family and friends. It was a much needed recharge after a busy year. We are so excited to see what 2019 has in store for us, but we would be remiss if we let this first month of the new year come to an end without wishing you a happy 2019 and thanking you for a truly wonderful 2018. A year that challenged and excited us, that brought us wonderful new clients, and clients we were so graciously able to work with again. It saw new and continued treasured relationships with the most fabulous of vendors. And the joy of seeing this little dream of ours continuing to grow, and for that we are so very grateful. Thank you all for making it possible. Now, off to work on some photos to share! My professional New Year's resolution. 😉
