On your wedding day, you deserve to do things your way—without unwanted input or expectations on how others have done it in the past. I can’t say it enough—this is your day and I want you to know I always have your back and prioritize you and how you want your day to go down. In the case of Ally and Craig, they went all in, making every minute of it their own. On a more serious note may this love find me one day… please. 😂

This almost didn’t happen—which, looking back, feels crazy. Here’s the story: we drove three hours one way, only to arrive at the dunes in the middle of an unexpected downpour. Picture a flooded parking lot, soaked sand everywhere, and rain coming down hard with no sign of stopping. I rolled down my window, looked at Audrey and Mateo, threw up a rock ’n’ roll hand gesture, and asked, “We doing this?” Thankfully, we all aligned and said yes.

What followed was incredible—not just the experience but the photos that came out of it. We ran up and down the dunes, gave it every ounce of energy we had, and even witnessed Audrey take a full-on face plant (sorry, Audrey). The best part? We had the dunes practically to ourselves. The rain didn’t ruin a thing—it made it unforgettable. The takeaway here: never skip a rainy day. Embrace it, go full throttle, and let the adventure unfold. Lightning permitting, of course.

You’ll see these two again on my feed. Not only did we tackle one incredible location, but we doubled down for something just as epic in Rocky Mountain National Park the following week.

Cassie & Landon—thank you for trusting me wholeheartedly throughout this entire experience. From the moment we got on the phone, we knew that January weather might throw us a curveball, but your trust meant everything. It allowed me to scout locations and even hand-dig a perfect spot for you two. I couldn’t have asked for a better adventure to kick off my 2025 season. Here’s to the start of an amazing year! 🖤

Did we just get married?

Moments after Desi and Ky left the alter and walked into the entrance at The Moss, I heard Desi say this to Ky. There’s so much that reveals itself in that moment—a massive weight lifted off your shoulders close to as two-years or planning boils down to a few hours of dinner and dancing in the evening.

Wedding days often feel like they’re on autopilot. While we, as vendors, focus closely on the timeline and logistics, you’re soaking up the day (as you should). My focus is flawless ex*****on, and me and my team did our jobs right you won’t even notice 🤘🏼

And for the bigger moments in your day? I’ve got your back 📸

Sarita & Parth - The Elopement pt.2

Okay let’s be honest we can all appreciate the smell of the outdoors but this particular month we were experiencing the wildfire smoke from Wyoming and California so I guess we felt like camping by a fire the whole time 🏕️ Shooting hybrid with super-8 was such a unique contrast and to anyone reading this I highly encourage because for them it felt like stepping into a time portal on the same day 🤘🏼

The Langers 🤘🏼 Casually a few months late on posting this, but that’s okay because perfect weddings are worth the wait! Many words come to mind for this, but in short, epic. Started with big Wild and ended the night with Big Gigantic. It was fabulous.

Katie was the BEST referral. We clicked instantly with Nick on the call with us. We took our time to figure and plan the perfect engagement session at Twin Lakes and even doubled down with a home session a couple moths later. The Langer wedding was nothing short of a good time.

I want to take a minute of appreciation to the vendors that made it all happen. From the details captured maticulously by Shannon and Courtnee to not skipping a beat on the the agenda Emily created or the incredible entertainment and flowers that were brought in from the Springs, my gosh team what a freaking day. I’m so grateful to have worked with you and cheers to many more working together!

Hey there! It’s been a wild few months, and I usually prefer to stay humble about the growth I’ve seen this year, but I really need to take a moment to express my gratitude. To the amazing clients who chose me in Colorado and helped grow the ASP family with new memories—thank you. And to those who have trusted me to collaborate with them, for them, and create moments their clients will treasure—I’m so grateful.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my business, thinking about where I want to be in the next few years. The pull towards a hybrid approach has been on my mind for a while—combining the vividness of digital photo and video with the timeless, true-to-life tones that film grain brings from 35mm and Super-8. It’s a beautiful blend I’m excited to offer my couples. I’ve just launched a new set of packages that focus less on the clock and more on the experience. Every couple is different, and my sessions are designed to reflect that—allowing for more thoughtful, intentional moments.

If you’re new here, welcome! Feel free to send me a message if you want to learn more, get to know me, or even grab a coffee. I’d love to chat and geek out with you about all the different ways we can create a perfect wedding vision for you.

As I write this, a flood of thoughts fill my head, but above all, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Being able to craft this nostalgic super-8 film for Sarita & Parth wasn’t just an honor — it marked a turning point for me and the way I approach my work. We are entering a new chapter here ya’ll, where digital and film fuse together to create nostalgic gold!

So, consider this my soft launch into something fresh and exciting: a playful blend of digital and film to capture the vibe of your elopement or wedding day. Whether it’s an addition to a session or as its own standalone package, this offering is now ready to book! Stay tuned — the digital gallery from Sarita & Parth’s day will be posted on my IG soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

When I entered this career, I knew capturing all stages of people's lives was part of the gig, and proposals are no exception. But there's something uniquely awesome about those few minutes when the world pauses for one life-changing question: "Will you marry me?" It’s those few moments, you’re not just witnessing—you’re capturing it all.

Catarina's reaction? Everything. From where I stood, Damn—I hope I can get a reaction like that when I propose, otherwise I don’t want it! JK 😂 You two are pure magic together. And to Catarina, who helped make this moment unforgettable for Claire—we nailed it! 🤌🏼

P.S. I know Claire JUST proposed to Catarina this past weekend and just want to say a HUGE congrats to both of you!!

I just knew Jamie’s aura and mine were in sync the moment we got on the phone! I sometimes don’t get the chance get to meet my clients before the big day, especially on short notice. Jamie was coming in from Cali, and I was from Chicago before moving here (big city vibes, ya know?), and I was so excited when she needed mountains to be in the gallery at all costs, but we know Golden doesn’t disappoint!

Jamie and Daniel chose the Eddy Hotel, which is such a vibe if you haven’t been before. Appreciate the two so much! You both made this one for the books.

This shoot was just like a scene from a summertime movie. Kevin reached out to me to set up a little couple shoot with Sarah and their dogs, and I had a few places in mind to suggest, but I know we needed to have big evergreen trees and some flowers that were starting to bloom. In other words, Mt, Falcon you never disappoint in the summer.

Then, I asked Spotify to play 'Birds of a Feather' by Billie Eilish, setting that mood right ya know? So lovely to work with you both but let’s be honest we’ll see each other soon!!

Capturing Kelsee & DJ’s day was the best you can ask for! I stumbled upon them through a gig that never usually links me with weddings, but Kelsee and DJ were like, "Let’s change that up 🤘🏼!"

These pics outline why doing things your way on your big day is key—because in return, you’ll get these raw, real moments that totally speak volumes. Saying it was an honor to capture your journey this past year is an understatement. Getting to know you both and vibing so well made this whole experience extra awesome. Your trust and openness, even in such a short time, meant the world, so huge thanks 💜

The chemistry between you two was awesome to witness throughout the day.
Love shines brightest when it’s authentic, and you both expressed it perfectly. Kelsee Liberty Don J Liberty

Unplanned chaos calls for the BEST adventures. This was definitely the case for and , who were open to exploring the woods with me—definitely a win-win. Naturally, Twin Lakes came to mind, and of course, it did not disappoint. The lighting was perfect for piggyback rides and jumping around in the trees. Honestly, you two, if I could have more evenings like that, my life would be pretty complete.

Time is flying by on here, IG fam! Looking at my following from last October, I had just under 600 followers, and now over 1300+ of you have since joined me on my career and passion. I’m so thankful for all of you! For those who are new here... Hey there! 👋🏼 I’m Alex! I call myself a “photographer,” but really, it’s those little moments in life I WANT to capture for you because they often turn out to be a big deal later on.

When I started this career just under two years ago, my goal was to capture you authentically, meaning as you are, with minimal posing or strict movements. We’re laid-back here, and my clients have resonated with my style of shooting. But also know I've got your back if you feel stiff to make sure you still look great. I would describe my editing style as warm with punchy colors and contrast, often with cooled undertones and a cinematic feel. The goal is to make you feel like you’re in a movie because, with me, you are.

Weddings and love ARE my stress-free comfort zone. Yep, you heard that right. This is where I find my comfort, where I can effortlessly bring your vision to life without sweating even the small things. But don't mistake my confidence for bragging. Let me break it down for you: my expertise stems from years in the floral, planning, and catering industries. I've immersed myself in every aspect, mastering the details so you don't have to. It’s not just about hiring a photographer—there are plenty of us out there. It's about trusting a seasoned pro to guide you, understand your vision, and deliver top-notch expertise. Together, we'll make your once-in-a-lifetime wedding feel like a walk in the park (literally, and figuratively).

Who’s that behind the lens?

Welcome my Friends:

This is about the little things for me: clicking the shutter on my camera and freezing a moment in time. Waking up in the early morning and taking my clients on a sunrise hike to capture the unreal beauty Colorado has to offer. And having the opportunity to get a sneak-peek into someone's intimate love life and hearing how one met and fell in love.

This is why I love what I do. Personally, for me, I care about the emotion my photos bring my clients. I value the opportunity to tell your story without words, only through a moment in time. Because without you, my camera wouldn't have anything to capture or a unique story to share.

While walking through the forest on a cool day scouting locations among the mountains and seeing the views sounds like the best part of the job, it's the couples I meet and the lifelong friendships we have long after our session.
