Innocently enough a LIFTED MUSIC mix was playing in the CD player of a friend's car when they planned a bit of road trip together. The exposure to fast paced percussions and rhythms were difficult for her to not notice and had her captivated back in 2008.
When she asked, who is this? Her friend quickly replied that it was a mix with Ewun, Spor, Dieselboy, Noisia & Evol Intent on it. The music was mind opening and in that moment as the volume was turned up, 180BPM synced inside of her.
Finding, following and listening to Chris Renegade's LIFTED podcasts solidified it even further. Drum and Bass not only captivated her but it made her move and dance for years, eventually helping her grow into the MS TØXIIC we know today. In those years she learned the love that Drum and Bass had to offer and it became a lifestyle.
"I practiced a lot on other people's equipment until I was able to afford my own. I would plug my computer into my Pioneer DJM-600 & mess with the effects."
She's gone through a Numark Mixtrack 2 and Pioneer XDJ-R1 to get to the Pioneer RX2 she proudly plays on today.
When we asked her about her most memorable moment with 40HZ of Sound she stated it "would be playing on the 40HZ system in Rampart range with our closest DnB friends & family in the summer of 2020!"
We couldn't of asked for a more memorable moment marking 9YRs of business; a four hour long MS TØXIIC set on 20K+ watts of 40HZ of Sound, in the middle of the woods.

Please join us on August 27th 2021 as we celebrate 10 years of service across the Colorado area with a special liquid drum and bass set by MS TØXIIC on our recently installed system in Club Vinyl's Bassment.

Lets get to know GHoST.

This story starts in 2000 when first being exposed to DJ culture, something to be involved in for the rest of his life.
"I met my mentor Eric, dj 2EZ or Dr. Chron my first time at Breakdown Thursday at the Snake pit sometime in 2000. Then joined the crew Dub Reckaz with The Professor and JSuave, my other two mentors."
These influencers planted seeds that GHoST continued to nurture, and eventually acquired tools of trade, a Pioneer 300S mixer and Technics 1200 M3Ds. But moving, setting up and grooving his gear didn't come without it's ups and downs. When we asked him what his worst gig experience was, he was quick to respond.
Worst gig - "Floston Paradise in the Springs mid 2000s, a pipe burst on my coffin the day of the gig, I had to take my techs and mixer apart and lay them in the sun all day hoping they would dry out. My set was canceled on main stage and then I was moved into a little tiny office to play a 30 minute set instead of an hour, which then was cut off by the cops."
An experience what would mark the bottom of his DJ career, only to be set him forth in an upwards direction. Making experiences like "direct support for Black Sun Empire and The Upbeats at The Black Box" all the more sweeter.
Through those years of experience and performing, we at 40HZ have grown to admire, support all of his musical and business ventures.
He furthermore states... "I see myself continuing to spread the love of drum and bass in North America until I die. Teaming up with like minded individuals currently to bring USDNB acts to Denver as well as traveling to other cities and performing the music I love."
