The Herbery carries a wide selection of pottery as well as unique art gifts. Plant nursery selling a range of flowers, herbs & succulents, with potted plants & pottery.

Jewel Orchid Care Guide ✨🌿

Jewel Orchids (Ludisia discolor) are prized for their stunning foliage rather than their flowers. Keep your plant happy with these care tips:

🌱 Light: Bright, indirect light or low light—avoid direct sun, which can scorch leaves.

💦 Water: Keep soil slightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch feels dry.

🌡 Humidity: Loves high humidity (50%+). Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier.

🌡 Temperature: Prefers warm temps (65–75°F). Avoid cold drafts.

🌱 Soil: Use a well-draining, airy mix (orchid bark + peat + perlite).

🍃 Fertilizer: Feed monthly with a diluted balanced fertilizer during the growing season.

🌿 Bonus Tip: Jewel orchids spread easily! If they get leggy, gently tuck stems back into the soil or propagate cuttings in water.
