One of the most common questions when wedding planning is, “How much do I tip my wedding vendors?”
 
There is no wrong answer! Tipping is a personal choice, and the amount is up to you! Whether you choose to tip or not, tipping your wedding vendors is always a great way to say thank you for a job well done. While tipping is never necessary, it is appreciated. Some vendors may already include gratitude in their contract, so be sure to double check. I recommend using envelopes when tipping and giving the tips out yourself or to your coordinator.
 
Here’s a great guide to go by:
 
* Officant: $100 and up, or a gift
* DJ/musicians: 10-15% of their fee or $50 per musician.
* Photographer/videographer: up to $200 each, or a gift.
* Hair/makeup: 15-20% of their fee.
* Florals: 5-10% of overall budget.
 
For all other vendors such as bartenders, catering staff, transportation, etc., 15-20% of the bill is a great estimate.
 
Finally, leave a review to wrap it all up! Remember, this is a general guide.

In the recent horrific events of western North Carolina being devastated by hurricane Helene, I understand that many of the couples whom have booked weddings at venues were affected by this as well. I am fully booked out on all Saturdays but many Sundays and some Fridays are available to those whom are at a loss on where to turn for their weddings now. I also understand that no one can afford to pay for another venue on such short notice as well. So it will be of no charge. Proof of you rental agreement with any venue affected by this hurricane will be required in order to book! Thoughts and prayers to the many whom have lost so much during this devastating storm!

I have spent the last few days in prayer, and I have tried to find the right words to say, but there are no words to express except that I am heartbroken for the lives lost and the devastations for our Carolina mountains. If you know me, you know the mountains are my “happy place.” We have spent some time in the mountains this year, specifically at Lake Lure, and to see it just gone and the community hurting crushes me.
 
For any couples hurt by the hurricane and having to reschedule, please don’t hesitate to reach out! If you are able to donate, please do so in any way you can.
