Spring’s finest for a special Mama.
This weekend @_lavenderfoxflorals_ married her best friend and I could not be more honored to put together the ceremony arch for such a sweet friend. Before I ever met Joslyn in person, we were IG flower friends, and quickly became real life friends slinging flowers together. Even though she moved to North Carolina to take a dream job on the Biltmore floral team, Joslyn is always there to take a call when I need to brainstorm some design issue or just catch up. She is endlessly talented, supportive, and kind and I’m so glad she has found d such a wonderful partner to share in her many adventures to come.
These arrangements are places I love, scooped up and put in one vessel. Evening drives through the meadows of Middle Creek, vacation roadside wild flower collecting with my Mom, tufts of lacy flowers dotting the fields of my rural Maryland home. I have said that I hope my floral designs connect people to nature and place, but I think more often than not I’m sharing a deeply held memory in the best way I know how.
