Also, just because you did a First Look before the ceremony, your moment down the aisle will be just as emotional. G & S were the perfect example of that!
 No: You love the drama of that aisle moment. Cue the “aww”s! There’s nothing like that iconic moment of seeing your partner at either end of the aisle just itching to be next to you. Your hands finally meet, let the waterworks begins!

Weddings are, of course, about the union of two people in love. But so much of what I hear from my couples is that their day is about much more than that. The coming together of families sits at the heart of a wedding day. Couples I work with share about how their extended families are all meeting one another for the first time, or how lucky they are that their grandmother is in good enough health to attend, or that their daughter will be flower girl, or that a childhood best friend will be giving a toast. When we as photographers zoom out on the full picture, we see a story, wrought with generations of family and connection.

Happy 37th wedding anniversary to my parents!

My mom and dad met when they were 12 years old. I grew up hearing stories of how my dad would bike to my mom’s house, and my grandma would come home to find him sitting on their stoop. My mom was at my dad’s bar mitzvah, and she still has his invitation. Dad tells me how he turned my mom into the Deadhead she is today, and Mom shares how she was still a good student even when my dad was pulling her away on Dead tour 😅

They’ve weathered long-distance, raised me and my brother, and built a life full of music, mountains, and magic.

You’ve shown me and Dylan what it means to stick together through thick and thin, laugh often, and find joy in the quiet moments. Here’s to an easier year ahead—and never stopping the laughter.

When we open ourselves up to the possibility that a photoshoot can be more than just a photoshoot, we make room for something special. We allow ourselves to be present, we enjoy the experience as much as we enjoy the photos.

You look at those images and think about how you felt your heart race a little faster, how you got butterflies when your partner kissed you, how you shrilled when they flung you over their shoulder and ran in circles. Instead of just seeing perfect poses and smiles, you see real emotion and connection.

Photos shouldn’t just look like you— they should feel like you, too.

Time for an intro again! My name is Jamie (she/her) and I have been photographing for as long as I can remember. I picked up my first camera when I was 15 and immediately fell in love with the art of photography. From there, I sought out every opportunity to take photos and have been growing my craft ever since.

I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2018 with a dual degree in psychology and photography. I became fascinated with exploring the intersection where human connection meets visual representation. I adore the art of observation, becoming a fly on the wall while photographing authenticity, connection, love, and joy. My favorite things to photograph include weddings, surprise proposals, elopements, vow renewals, couples, and families throughout Colorado.

I love everything about Colorado, so when I am not out photographing, you will find me swimming in rivers, skiing and snowboarding, hiking, adventuring with my partner, and seeing live music. I think of myself as extroverted, quirky, adventurous, and creative. I ask you all to show up in front of the camera, so here’s a few photos of me doing the same.

Before I was a wedding photographer, I had fallen in love with the imperfect, timeless charm of film photography. These are a few of my earlier shots, dating back to 2019. I started shooting film in high school (2010) and my love for photography only grew from there.

Film taught me to pause, to embrace the unexpected, and to see something awe-inspiring in even the most mundane moments. It’s this perspective that shaped how I approach my wedding photography and Super 8 videography today—capturing your love story in its most honest and heartfelt form.

A few days ago I found an old roll of Super 8 film with "Lyla Joy" written on the cartridge. I quickly went to the local camera shop LeZot Camera to have it developed. Well, as it turns out, 4 years ago I made a short film of my best friend Madeline Jayne's amazing daughter right after she was born. Lyla was just a few weeks old, barely lifting her own head and she slept all the time! Lyla is now a spunky, intelligent, vibrant 4 year old who I am so lucky to have the privilege of knowing. Maddy and Lyla, you two bring so much light to my life and I hope this video brings you the same.
