I had a blast personalizing ornaments to benefit the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center this Saturday at ! I felt so much gratitude being able to use my lettering skills to benefit the community in this way. 🥰 And 6 &40 is just the most homey spot - I left with new friends by the end of the event and Emmett left a fan of Mrs. Claus! 🤶🏻

A one of a kind es**rt wall from last fall! 🌱🌼 This custom garden wall was so fun to create, with hand lettered garden signs that guests took with them to their tables. This base is a rental and can accommodate large acrylic seating charts as well!

I love collaboration that lets everyone shine. I partnered with the bride to come up with designs for her signage, added her beautiful lettering, built and set up the wood displays, and created the fun menus and place cards. Bringing all these elements together helped us create a cohesive look for this colorful day!

Es**rt wall in action! This wall was designed to be interactive, and the magic was in seeing the guests react to their personalized envelopes. Inside were a letter and photos meticulously curated by the bride and groom to create a memento that guests will cherish far beyond wedding day. 💌
I loved getting to collab with the talented on this es**rt wall. I contributed to the design, calligraphed the envelopes, provided calligraphy for the heading, and she brought it all to life! 🪄

In the last decade, I’ve had the opportunity to help many small business owners, as well as to build startups in the Silicon Valley, and more and more I was drawn to running a small business of my own. I spent much of my personal time on creative endeavors, and I’m finally letting my imagination run free with something I’m passionate about! My introduction to calligraphy came in the form of Chinese brush calligraphy when I was young, and eventually turned into a love of English calligraphy.
I’m a dog mom, avid flautist, national parks fanatic (I’ve been to 14 and counting!) and Southwest girl at heart even though I’ve lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years.

WHAT THE HECK IS MONSTERA GOLD?
If you thought I misspelled “monster”, you’re not the only one :) “Monstera” refers to a jungle plant, also known as the Swiss cheese plant for the holes in their heart shaped leaves, which is believed to be an adaptation for capturing more light. I chose it as a symbol of change and learning, and to represent nature, which for me is inspiring and inviting. Combined with “Gold”, I hope my business and art evoke a sense of earthy sophistication that is beautiful and welcoming.
