Alongside my love for podcasts, I also read a lot of books. Currently, I'm reading Setting the Table - the Transforming Power of Hospitality in Business by Danny Meyer and I swear I couldn’t put it down.

The incredible business insight offered throughout the book leaves you wanting more. I love it because it combines my love of the restaurant industry, hospitality and business.

Let’s address the elephant in the room. In the last 14 years, I’ve learned that there are a lot of assumptions when it comes to event staffing/planning services. I’d like to set the record straight on one that I think is particularly misunderstood.

You may have heard the assumption that small events, including weddings DON'T NEED event staff, but I’m here to tell you that they do!

Pulling off a successful event is a team effort – it’s impossible to do it all alone.

Also, it's unfair to have friends, family or other guests "work" your event.

When I first started staffing events, my clients were always on my mind because I often thought of the overwhelm and disappointment they experienced when planning and executing an event. (Holiday party, Wedding, Corporate event or other.) Especially those occasions prior to hiring us, where the cleaning, setup, and planning fell solely on the hostess.

In fact, that hasn’t changed. Our road to success has continued to be fueled by our clients experience and is the leading motivation behind driving our purpose and vision each step of the way!
