INSTAGRAM VS REALITY

Katie here, letting you know that if you see me IRL during the month of September there is a 75% chance I’ll look more like the second photo and a 100% chance I’ll have paint in my hair😅 September is crazy town around here with many of our rental contracts requiring custom painting and a whole lot of behind the scenes design work happening for corporate holiday parties. Couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for the projects we get to be part of over the coming weeks!!

Also the business turned FOUR a few days ago and I’m still working up something fun to do to celebrate. So keep your eyes on this page next week for something fun!

In the midst of a full weekend of event rentals Eli and I celebrated a whole DECADE of marriage! Running a business with your spouse can sometimes feel like free marriage counseling 😉 but there is truly nobody else I’d rather do it with. Life with Eli is more fun/goofy/wild than I could have hoped for.

PS for our newly married clients— a favorite tradition of ours is to put on our wedding clothes every year and dance to our first dance song (Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader) Do the clothes fit a little differently every year? Absolutely😂 but it’s a tradition we stole from Eli’s parents and something I’ll hope we always keep doing. Swipe for a few photos from anniversaries over the past ten years!

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Being Jack and Annie’s mom is the best gift I could ask for. Motherhood is challenging, and the dance with owning a business often makes me feel like I’m failing in all directions, but man am I grateful for the two little peanuts who call me mom. And let’s be honest, I wouldn’t be able to run a business without my own mom. She jumps in and watches kids at the drop of a hat and has made many last minute rental requests possible. We are so grateful💗
