It's our birthday! That's right, Rhythm & Pep is 2! It's been in incredible two years, and we are so grateful to all of the performers and audience members who have kept us going.

In the beginning we were lucky if we had 20 people in the audience, and since then, we've run out of seats at almost every show. We are so grateful for the love and support of our community!

Some of you have been with us since the very beginning, and we wouldn't be here without you. You've helped make our dreams come true.

🌈 Calling all LGBTQIA+ artists! 🎨✨

I'm looking for a talented artist who's interested in live painting at our next Rhythm & Pep show! This is a unique opportunity to showcase your work during our vibrant variety show. At the end of the event, we auction off the artwork, with proceeds going to mutual aid, and a guest getting to take home a special piece of Rhythm & Pep!

When I think of all the incredible artists that we have featured, and the amazing artwork that's graced people's walls from R&P, the causes we've uplifted, and the different performers, stories, and themes those pieces have represented, it truly brings me to tears sometimes. There is a little corner of the world where a piece of art exists because of an R&P show, and I think that's really special.

We went to Broadway last night and it was a dream come true. Thank you to our amazing cast. You all brought the love and spirit of Broadway to Des Moines, and we will never forget how magical it was.

To everyone who came out last night, THANK YOU for being there! Your support is why we are able to keep bringing these events to Des Moines, and it means the world to us.

Thank you to our live painter, Katie Gazzo. The piece she created was absolutely incredible, and we were able to auction it off for $300. The proceeds were split between Des Moines Mutual Aid Fund and Iowa Trans Mutual Aid.

Remember, art is resistance. Keep going.
